2023-09-04 23:42:41 +0000 UTCMany stories, particularly in the medium of anime and general television, often include characters that are portrayed as morally good people or people worth of rooting for, yet they use violence to achieve their purpose. What I value so much about the story of Vinland Saga is that the author doesn't try to justify the violence of its characters by convincing the viewer that it's justified and used for the purpose of defeating a greater evil. Violence is violence no matter who does it and no matter what purpose it's used for. If you had to weigh in, why do you think it's become so common and generally accepted to write characters that should be praised and/or seen as inspiration even when they use violent methods? (Sorry for such a long-winded question, its hard to convey exactly what I'm trying to ask in writing but I hope you get the gist).

Also with Haikyuu, Oikawa would be my favorite at the current point in the anime, but the future manga content gives so much incredible stuff for so many characters, especially Hinata. I’m a big fan of villains too. Edit: If anyone else wants to join, that’d be fun.

Now you have finished the season how was Farmland for you? 🌾 You have completed many protagonists stories on this channel, like Edward, Aang, Violet, Mob (soon Eren) etc. Thorfinn’s story is still in the early days. What are hopes for him moving forward? And how does he rank for you with other amazing protagonists you have watched? 🌾 Why do you think it was soo important that not only Thors, but also Askeladd are fathers to Thorfinn? And how do you think both their legacies will continue to impact Thorfinn for the rest of the series? 🌾 Canute’s journey this season was being tormented by the ‘curse of the crown.’ Do you believe the sentiment that “all power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”? 🌾 Love is discussed a lot in the series. Any further thoughts on what the story is trying to say about love? 🌾 When the episode of Ketil beating (and thus killing) Arnheid came out it shocked manga readers that there was a loud portion of people defending his actions. What are you final thoughts on Ketil now after finishing the season? And what do you think Yukimura was trying to say with a character like Ketil? 🌾 Thorfinn described violence as a ‘last resort’ in 2x18. Meaning that he hasn’t completely sworn of it as an option now like he did in 2x9. What situations can you see moving forward that he will have to take that ‘last resort’? 🌾 I saw a tweet that said something like “Snake vs Thorfinn in the Gardar arc was two individuals both in the right. And Ketil vs Canute was two individuals both in the wrong.” Any thoughts on that? 🌾 Why is the prolouge soo important as a basis for the series? Many series would condense a prologue or do it as mini arc further into the series. 🌾 Why do you think Thorfinn resonates soo much for soo many people? 🌾 to end this with a true question. You described Einar and Thorfinn’s handshake as the most ‘BRO handshake’ you’ve seen. So who actually wins? Einar and Thorfinn or Armstrong and Sig in FMAB 😂

So do you think he would have worked under Canute or gone his separate way and somehow slowly come to the realization of his actions, eventually leading to finding his purpose in creating a "Vinland" and atoning for his sins? Or do you think he would have found his purpose even if he did work under Canute? Do you think he would have been influenced by Canute's view of the world and God? Or just none of the above and you have your own theories. I was just self inserting hypothetical situations as examples but want to hear your thoughts.
