@Rayn nah I read the manga and the anime looks better. They didn’t censor anything either it’s pretty gorey at times

Seth

Yea but I heard the anime isnt that great.

Rayn

can't wait to see how this turns out! So glad I get to come back home from class to some great Mr.Goodwin content!!

Emman Reed

If Kageyama had Hinata's people skills he'd be unbeatable lol

Etsch

Haha that made me realize that I'm 2 layers of wrong removed from the actual name

Alex G

It's looking like it's time to break down and rebuild once again now that we're all together again. I'm seeing Kageyama, Asahi, and Hinata in their head thinking about something that might help if they would only TALK ABOUT IT lol

Athena

Hope so. Canada's essentially just hoping not to get relegated now, (...and we lost to the US in CONCACAF, and Vegas just won the Stanley Cup, and Andreescu, FAA, and Shapovalov were meh at Wimbledon, so frankly it's not a great time in Canadian sports), so it'd be nice if at least someone I'm cheering for would win, haha. (Just to reiterate, I really do think of your diverse names for moves, players, and locations as a desirable feature, not a bug. I didn't mean to come off as snarky. Hinata called it a splatter step, and frankly I think that adds to the experience.)

Ryan

I disagree @bighead I thought the characters were much more thought out than in JJK, I actually felt interested in the conversations and everything said in the first season will come back around later

Seth

Wow the timing of that is incredible. Hopefully they can channel something from Asahi. Also kind of shocked that I heard / saw that correctly

Alex G

Their stories obviously aren’t similar but they all give off a surreal/horror/comedy vibe and all go different routes to deliver that experience. I just binged the Hells Paradise manga it’s solid

Seth

I think this week will just be Haikyuu x 2, Vinland x 2, and JJK. Starting either next week or the week after, I think what I'm going to do is add 1 video each week, alternating between an extra Haikyuu and an extra Vinland Saga. I was considering doing 3 of each but... from experience 7 videos is kind of pushing it

Alex G

It's a "split step." The getting stuffed thing really does take a toll. I mentioned Japan at the VNL a while back, but now they're 10-2 after losing two in a row, and in the Poland match in particular, it was just overwhelming blocking. It's really psychologically defeating. 21:00 "His name is pantaloons?" I was just as surprised the first time I saw this. I just had to look it up. I'm not positive about this, but apparently it's a manga fourth-wall break. When the character was first introduced in the manga (in S2 during Date Tech vs Seijoh), he had a character intro page where his pants looked like disco fever bell bottoms, and that was his most distinguishing feature, so the fans started calling him that, and Furudate decided to just run with it and use the name in later volumes.

Ryan

Personally, I didn't like it as much as I liked csm and jjk. Not sure about the manga, but I think the direction and storyboarding for the anime was a bit clunky and it really took you out of the story multiple times with its narration. There were many points in the story where I felt like if it was even tweaked a bit structurally it would have flowed better. It does speed up in the second half but that was kind of my gripe with the story. It felt it the characters had to pause for the story and the story had to pause for the character explorations rather than both being cohesively tied together. And also didn't think the character writing was very strong, it felt a bit one dimensional. Obviously take my opinion with a grain of salt as it's just my personal experience. It wasn't bad though, just good enough to keep me going.

Bighead

He's working on it haha... most high-school kids don't have the best social skills.

Jason Serrano

Although I know about this dark trio I don't think its much like JJK or Chainsaw Man really. I think those two shows are much more similar to each other than to Hells Paradise. Only similarities is that they're shonen and pretty violent. I personally thought it was a bit too slow paced but I've only seen the first 6 episodes. For anyone whos seen it do things speed up at all?

M2GZ

Ohh wow an early Haikyuu upload!! If you don't mind me asking do you have a schedule this week, i.e increasing Haikyuu Or Vinland uploads? No pressure though, just whatever frequency you feel comfortable with. It's nice to be blessed with two videos today!!

Bighead

Good point, and knowing them they're up for the challenge... though his delivery needs some work lol

Alex G

I would say Kageyama had the right drive at the wrong time/place. He just had a team that he did not gel with. You can judge the old team for quickly dismissing Kageyama but Kageyama also failed to understand what the team wanted. You should get to know a team better before you try to push them. Which is what Oikawa has been telling him all along. With that being said... Since he's built some trust and knows the capabilities of Karasuno I think NOW is a good time to start pushing those boundaries and start sprinkling in that old "King of The Court" Kageyama.

Jason Serrano

It is, now that I see it in connection to JJK and CM :)

Alex G

Is Hells Paradise on your radar at all? The S1 finale ended a week ago and it’s been on every reaction channel. It’s from Mappa and is considered to be in the “dark trio” including JJK and Chainsaw Man it’s really unique
