Hisoka looks different here. Gotta show some love to Tendo. He's really entertaining in his quirky, creepy way.

Athena

@Ruma Risto I still think he’s best boi tho

Chris Sharpe

Tendo is the creepiest player in the whole show.

In the Seijoh match, Tanaka said Hinata had "konkyo no nai jishin" (literally self-belief without any history of action to back it up, which they appropriately translate it as "baseless confidence"). It was when Hinata was trying to pump up Kageyama by using his line from season 1 back at him ("As long as I'm around, you're invincible") When Tanaka said Hinata had that "baseless confidence," he said it was a good thing. This time, Ushiwaka (or as Goodwin calls him, "Ushikawa") said Hinata had that same "baseless confidence" (konkyo no nai jishin), and it was something that really got on his nerves. I like how both times Goodwin said that it wasn't baseless, but I think it's an interesting difference in perspective. For Ushiwaka, confidence comes from already demonstrating greatness, whereas I think for Hinata and us, we think of his confidence in his potential to grow, not where he is now. I forgot to mention this last episode, but the opening song is called "Hikari are" ("let there be light," as in the Bible quote), but the lyrics are actually a lot more like the Dylan Thomas poem "Do not go gentle into that good night." Basically, when things get dark, it's up to you to make the light up the space yourself.

I think it will become clear that Shiratorizawa is not simply a one man show. Especially in regards to the crazy, red-haired zombie.

Chris Sharpe

as a lefty the summary for this episode really hit a nerve 🙏

Mima

The real protagonist is VOLLEYBALL!
