One entire eye, serious permanent damage, for usage of the right arm permanently Basically, dealing with devils isn't always fair and it depends on the devil. There's no devil deal playbook for the devils to follow afaik

Some devils will present totally different terms, and it seems like the snake just went "Yeah I like you so whatever just use fingernails" that's a simplification but you get the point I'm wondering actually if devils might be more inclined to trust a member of the yakuza or someone who is trying to kill devil hunters. It'd make sense But still I agree the fingernail for snake power is OP, even if she can only call it temporarily although it is similar to how Aki gives skin for using the fox devil and it has multiple contracts with people because the fox devil likes humans more than other devils

The only reason that I said so confidently that her athleticism/action had nothing to do with a devil contract, is because that wouldn’t match with what we’ve been shown so far. For all of the public safety devil hunters, aside from the exceptions like Denji and Power (also Himeno but she already gave up her eye so), they all very clearly and distinctly have to ask their devil to do something for them and then offer something up as payment for that favor being completed. Kobeni did nothing similar to that and simply jumped immediately into action, just like how she did when reacting to the old lady shooter. So 99% sure it’s literally just her own physical abilities and nothing to do with any contracts. Could be wrong, but doubtful

We spent about 3 episodes in the infinity hotel and she did nothing but panic and get thrown around. A devil contract raising her physical stats is a legit theory too, based on what we know so far. But thanks for the spoilers, I guess.

2022-12-08 01:25:35 +0000 UTCso far her badass state has happened exclusively in response to someone attacking her with the intent to kill, and she seems to dissociate or maybe even completely lose conscious control of her body during those times (the totally blank expression, some of her poses are very strange, etc). so i'm wondering if she just, couldn't actually do this to denji, because at no point did HE try to kill HER. i could easily be wrong about all of this though and it's not based on spoilers or anything just pure speculation

The authors of Jigokuraru, Spy Family and Dandadan started off as Fujimoto's assistants. 2. Fujimoto speaks IRL exactly like Denji according to the author of Jigokuraku. The quote given is 「そのためだったらよぉ」which is suuper laid back Japanese. 3. He's a nutcase / prodigy according to the majority of the Japanese audience. 4. He used to draw pictures as a child and when he was in middle school, he imagined a manga serialization in his head containing around 7 of his own manga. He continued this imaginary serialization until all of his manga ended, and he was so emotional that he broke down at the end of middle school. 5. When he was in Art College, he was involved in an incident where a female student had flipped Fujimoto's bike upside down in the bike parking area. That girl walked straight up to Fujimoto and admitted "I turned your bike upside down! HAHAHA". Instead of feeling bullied, Fujimoto was over the moon. 6. This had led to him self realizing that he is a Masochist and likes overbearing and unreasonable attractive women. 7. When he was in Art College, his mentality was often questioned by his peers because he repeatedly stated "If I don't get better than them in 4 years, then I'm gonna kill 'em". 8. He always trolls popularity contests by voting for the most obnoxious characters. 9. He was almost sued by his own editors for creating the Koharu twitter account and leaking story ideas of comics that only he and Fujimoto knew, but the editor didn't know that Koharu was Fujimoto himself. 10. He drew a manga back when he was 17 called 「庭には二羽ニワトリがいた」 which is a tongue twister (Niwa ni wa niwa niwatori ga ita) or in English, 「There were two chickens in my back yard」 11. When asked about how he felt when finishing this manga, he responded "I wanna get paid now". 12. He was hungry all the time as a teenager and had the bad habit of eating anything he could find. He was also struggling for money, so instead of doing part time work, he lived alone and used the prize money from drawing contests to survive. 13. His favourite milk is MEGAMILK. 14. He likes Cod Roe, Whipped Cream, Ice Cream, Katsu Curry and Koshihikari Rice 15. When his pet fish died and he went to bury it, he felt bad about it being eaten by ants, so he ATE the dead fish straight up. Got stomach pains the next morning and lied to his girlfriend. 16. There is a video of his younger self attempting to levitate. So two things. One, he’s literally Denji (probably self inserting a fantasy of getting killed by women), and he is clearly insane enough to write Chainsaw Man.

Aimer the GOAT of endings and openings in anime, you might remember her from the demon slayer openings and endings. the constant 2D sakuga of transforming color and energy throughout the ending is a marvel to stare at, shit had me in a trance when I first watched it

And in my experience people like that will sometimes avoid interacting with other men in those contexts because they are aware of the gaze

Maybe similar to Denji’s or maybe more of like she’s just one of many hybrid vessel’s the Gun Devil’s created or something. Either way, she’s definitely become far more openly dangerous now

I actually agree that they sense vibes from her that some men might not

Specifically the last scenes with Makima this episode just radiate foreshadowing for things to get insanely worse real quick like all over again. Just my hunch as a fellow anime only for this, as well know Fujimoto really loves Cinema and such. Just don't think there is much, if anything at all, that is ever shown that serves now narrative purpose beyond what is seen at face value or understood during it's initial viewing.

And looks like it's a kind of devil that possesses her and she becomes a ninja. Did the writers copied The Lion King there at the end? Simba: Hey, Uncle Scar, will I like the surprise? Scar: Simba, it's to die for. P.S. Himeno, Petra, Rem... I can't believe I keep falling for the writer's "I will make that character so super likable and attractive so when I destroy her they will feel so miserable...".
