A bit lattle (a year and a half) someone will probably told you when you were watching te show, in the game, Ekko's ability is to rewind time, thats why yo see the fight twice, he activates the ability when he gets his pocket watch out

Shiffer

BENJ YOU'RE SO SWEET I'm making progress. I gotta catch up before Mob Psycho lol

Geneva The Weeba

Starting to catchup I see... your effort has not gone unnoticed.

benj

"damnnn they have keyblades and music videos/tell me about the politicians," "I am on their side now. I have been converted," (perfect call back to AOT 4x1 "“That’s the extent of my principles. You look badass enough, and I’m gonna root for you.") "ugh Sevika. We hate Sevika," (Part 3!) "Seems like she's reasoning through things well," "He's just as ready to oppress as the worst people he accuses of being oppressors," "-and that's rattling our investors," "No one's around to inject me with my eye juice," "Love it. Love Ekko," GOODWIN'S SERIES BLOND BOY CONFIRMED "uh oh. uh oh. AHGHGH," "Victor's speaking my language. Sorry I called you Ivan. For five episodes," "Did he just fuse with the Rubik's Cube?" "The battle for Powder's soul continues," "Caitlyn's alright. FOR NOW," "She might have just sealed the door on her own redemption,"

If you look closely, the fight scene between Ekko and Jinx is done twice. First in slo-mo with the flashbacks of them as kids and then the stopwatch rewinds and you get it real time with the characters in the present. Super cool.

Lily

It's common knowledge that Ekko vs. Jynx is the coolest scene in the season.

T-mo

Absolutely, with the complex morals of everyone on the cast, I think he'd have a ball reacting to it. Not mention the show is just really good! It's almost beating AOT on MAL for ratings, which is crazy for a new show.

War2244

I think it's hard to see things from vi's point of view because we naturally want for the sisters to reunite, but when you think about it, jinx had just shot directly at vi and Caitlyn. I don't know if there was a way to diffuse the situation with Caitlyn there, and Caitlyn was injured and had no other way to get away, so I think Vi chose to leave at that moment instead of letting Caitlyn potentially (most likely) be killed by Jinx. Tough situation all around, but I don't know whether anything could have been accomplished in that moment had Vi stayed. well, I mean, vi could explain the whole situation with Caitlyn and that she's not a replacement, but...there were heightened emotions all around and this is TV. lol

Jay Aniakor

Completely unrelated but does anyone else here think Ranking of Kings would be a fantastic show for Alex to react to? Its so good I can't get enough of it

Christiaan

My interpretation was that Viktor was contemplating suicide at that moment. He figured out the right wire to cut almost immediately, but hesitated to even cut it because he was presented with the option of death. I think you're interpretation is the message Jayce would have gotten out of it, but IMO for Viktor, his "always a choice" is between life or death.

Volatile

yea without even knowing abt this line i always lowkey shipped ekko and jinx, they seemed to have that fun relaxed chemistry since they were kids.

benj

Cool, but also really depressing and sad detail... :(

benj

Second this! It’s not too long and it hits best when you watch it any time after this episode. It’d be great if you filmed a reaction to it like you did for the FMAB bloopers! But I know you only tend to do stuff like that when you finish a show, so whatever is best for you!

Neostromer

Fun fact: In League of Legends, one of Ekko's voice lines to an enemy Jinx is "I had a crush, until you started talking to the gun." which just makes this episode so much more impactful.

Angel Hernandez

The song Jinx was humming on the bridge is the same song she was singing as a child during the very opening scene of Arcane. Cool little detail.

Megan

Did you miss the part where Jinx openly shot at Vi and Caitlyn?? Vi and Caitlyn may of just met but it’s clear that Vi already deeply cares about her, if that wasn’t evident enough from their hug on the bridge. Vi shouldn’t have to chose between Caitlyn and Powder. She can care about both of them and still be in character. It’s clear Vi wanted to talk with her but the timing wasn’t right.

Megan

Hey man, if you haven't seen it yet, take a look at the music video from 'Imagine Dragons'. It's done in the style of the show, with scenes from when they were little and gives a little more context on Powders and Ekkos friendship. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9G1VOjN_84

Alex Dystopia

Some of Vi’s actions this episode just seemed so uncharacteristic. Like she heard that explosion back at the fight between Ecko and Jinx and still didn’t go back for her sister? Her prioritizing Catelyn who she really just met over her volatile sister really hurts and you can’t help but feel that Vi is largely to blame for whatever outcomes are to come.

BRus019

The “Therapist React” Arcane videos are so amazing. She’s done them on almost every Arcane character and relationships and each one is gold. I think my personal favorite is the one she did on Vi and Jinx’s relationship.

Megan

The Ekko and Jinx fight is probably my favorite action scene of the show. If you haven’t seen the music video for “Enemy” by Imagine Dragons you really should because it’s in the same animation style as Arcane and has some original scenes. Actually it would be a really cool reaction video after Arcane’s over if you could find time for it. Anyway, in this video there’s a lot of scenes of young Powder and Ekko playing together. We don’t get a lot of scenes of them together in act 1 but they were really close as children. I don’t think Ekko ever really learned exactly what happened the night everything exploded. All he knew was that his friends went to save Vander and only Powder returned, and as a completely changed person. I’m sure he tried to reach her but he had a front row seat to all the chaos she caused under Silco’s thumb. The girl they where adding on to the mural of everyone in the beginning was the pink hair girl you had mistaken for Vi. She was a member of the Firefly’s and Jinx murdered her. So Ekko’s feeling towards Jinx are completely justified but they’re also kind of a façade. In the end Ekko couldn’t be the one to end her life. Sorry this is kinda of a ramble lol. But I wanted to add that of course Ekko was gonna assume Vi is dead because there is no way she would leave Powder willingly in Ekko’s mind.

Megan

My favorite scene in this episode hands down is victor defusing the bomb and then turning and saying that "there is always a choice". The bomb being such a good representation for the situations at hand where everyone's natural reaction would be to throw it to go with the easiest answer out of fear and emotion but it's when you step back and assess you can see that there is always a choice

Cornhorn

I saw a video once called “Therapist reacts to Jinx and Silco” where the Silco and Jinx dynamic was explored. It’s obvious that Powder has attachment issues, both before and after her turn, as shown by her clinginess to Vi, but the YouTuber proposed that reason why Silco manipulated Powder in this episode was because he also has attachment issues. He is afraid to lose her. This, in my opinion, adds a much deeper layer to his character than simply manipulating her as a pawn.

Chris Sharpe

I see what you did there.

Chris Sharpe

I'm going to attempt to guess the plot/concept of Arcane, having never seen Arcane (yet) Ahem. Two sisters discover the horrors of magic when they try to resurrect their dead mother. This spurs them onto a journey of strife and self discovery as they seek to unravel the mysteries of the Arcane stone, an artifact made of human souls. They also join a league of alchemists called, creatively, "league of alchemists"

Nick

Lol it came out of nowhere but was such an awesome touch, both the intro and sequence at the end

Alex G

Everyone is team firefly after that sick ass music video 😂

Tyre Willis

Denzel Curry is a top 5 favorite rapper for me and Hip-Hop is easily my favorite genre of music, so you can predict how I reacted during the Jinx vs Ekko fight when my dude Zel just started spitting over one of the best animated scenes of the year. That colorful art style mixed with that original song made for the show, me hearing it for the first time having no idea going in one of my favorite artists would be in it, hyped me up to an insane degree. Ending to this episode is what confirmed for me that this was the best series of the year hands down, and one of the best western animated shows ever made. That scene is seriously just pure mastery at work.
