Let the waves wash over you
Added 2024-06-17 11:42:15 +0000 UTCIt looks like we're going to get a week or so of unbroken sunshine here in London so it seems like a good time to post this up at last! It's been sitting on my harddrive for a couple of weeks unloved because... life π₯²
This was initially inspired by (what I think to be) the iconic Kate Upton Sports Illustrated Swimsuit shoot of her on a rocky beach getting absolutely drenched by the sea. It was going to be a 1 to 1 study/recreation but the more I thought about it, the less interested I was in doing that... I dunno why, it just didn't light me up after a while, but i still liked the idea of hot model+water soooo it became this!
I don't have many work in progress steps for this one, but I thought it'd be fun to share the inks and the initial (very ugly) sketch - what do you think? Would you prefer more steps like this or close ups like I normally do?
