2021-12-23 08:39:08 +0000 UTCI dont thin kyo will ever be as mature as yuki..lol. but I do think kyo has shown to be very supportive to tohru when she has really needed it, however it's not really been focused on in awhile in light of the crazy Yuki character development episodes we've been getting.

That scene happens super early on in the show and is actually the moment that convinced me to stick with this show until the end, something about Tohru’s kindness in that moment connected to me deeply in the same way it did Yuki.

That was the subbed version of Yuki's speech to Kakeru, around the 7 minute mark of the video. I actually wrote it down immediately after hearing it because it resonated with me so strongly. Reminded me a lot of a scene from Re:Zero while also giving me a sort of wake up call. I've been using this quote to self motivate every now and then, Yuki's character is pretty inspirational

All the endgame ships for this show end up being fully won over for me, which is extremely rare in a show with this many love interest stuff going on. Every main character gets the conclusion they deserve and that makes the most sense.

I think it always has been ever since I read the manga at the beginning of high school. Though I also feel that way about Natsume’s book of friends which makes sense I guess because the two stories have very similar themes.

Sure, they're cute and all, especially Tohru realizing she's in love. But I can't shake the feeling the series forget all the good things Furuba had to offer and went full on roman e. Suche a shame when you've read the read the manga. At least, the movie has finally shown some stuff ! Can't wait to be in february !

2021-12-17 02:53:06 +0000 UTCThere's a lot of stuff we haven't gotten to yet regarding Kyo that I really think explains a lot of how he's acting. And I sometimes think you underestimate him. For example, Fruits Basket often makes sure to showcase how much he silently takes care of Tohru, ie. He comforts her when she's down, he makes food for her when she's sick, and somehow he always says the right thing to cheer her up. So, imo, regardless of how much internal growth he needs to do, he is still very much there for Tohru as someone she can rely on, for now at least. I seriously can't wait until you see more, it's seriously going to be a roller coaster of emotions.

2021-12-17 02:31:56 +0000 UTCFr I was surprised when Goodwin was talking about a love interest for Yuki he didn't bring up Kakeru lol, though I guess he did say he had a girlfriend, if he didn't though I'd honestly suspect him to be Yuki's love interest, I think that'd be a great subversion of the love triangle trope, and would add on to Yuki's character arc of finding himself after pretending so long to be the perfect prince
