Not me almost spitting out my coffee when you said "todoroki go smash" 😂

💥Katsuki BakuGOAT💥 (Tobio)

Ojiro gets so little recognition for his strength as a literal ordinary person. The strength of his hands and his tails are insane for someone who's quirk is literally a tail.

Baron Salt

That's true Mudman really shone in this episode. He's the character we know the least about that looks the best, if that makes sense.

Alex G

Lol yeah it's weird what registers as too much and what doesn't. A great deal of the quirks have the potential to be deadly but some just hurt worse to watch than others.

Alex G

Class B views it more as a chance to show how much they've grown. That's why he was upset and said Iida stole his time time shine from him. I think Class B students probably have some sort of complex regarding their class vs Class A. Case example is Monoma. So probably it'a less of a game and more of "I need to prove I'm just as capable as Class A"

Nick

I know I am late to the party to commenting but again this Video Shows exactly why I am upset at class B!!! The yare just doing the Excercise to win not to actually "capture the villian" Mr.Drill Dude got upset like "Dude why are you interupting in a 1v1" like this was some kinda game to him.

John Carrizales

I also wanna say.... Pony definitely is the MVP here because no matter how anticlimactic her choice was, in a real situation she'd be the Real Hero. Same goes for Mudman. They do the smart thing, not necessarily the cool thing, and Pony literally got their one capture AND got the draw + if it was a real villain situation her act of waiting out rescue and keeping the "villain" (Todoroki) incapacitated by keeping him high up enough to stop him from counterattacking is an enormous brain play. The fact that she's a slightly more limited version of Hawks and Hawks is one of the coolest heroes out there... with a little more training she could be nigh unstoppable.

Muchymozzarella

I love the next fight!

Anna Lena Ciplajevs

Try turning at 100+ mph Ida would have likely just ran into the buildings to the side of him or lost top much speed anyway.

PKKite

To be fair, with Ida running so fast maybe he couldn't turn well due to inertia? Just a thought

roman espinosa

literally called him Barry Allen when I first saw this episode lol I was looking for this comment! I knew I couldn't be the only one 🤣

Sandy Gamboa

They didn't need to animate Iida going zoom zoom that hard the fricken sakuga was amazing animation's so cool Same with todoroki's fricken mini super nova or whatever that was like DUDE anime is so fricken cool! I wonder if Shoji can learn to fly?? he might be too top heavy hmm THE NEXT SEVERAL EPISODES ARE GONNA BE NUTS

Brimmy

LMAO this is the perfect response 😂

Sandy Gamboa

yeah, that's why whenever there's similar scene in other movies as well you need to think that taking a (probably sharp) turn while being chased will decelerate you (because turning simply means applying friction in another direction) and being the guy that is being chased is hard to make decision on the fly whether turning will make the gap still tolerably smaller or will make the chaser caught up

Tea-Spin

Oh....there will be a teamwork lesson....aha...ahaha....AHAHAHAHAHA

Nathan

Next episode is my favorite of the season to be honest. Bakugou is my favorite character in the show so just seeing him fight is always so much fun to me. Monday can't come soon enough. Also this match is my second favorite. I feel like we never get Iida moments and him getting Yutaka Nakamura animation done for his speed is some of the coolest shit. My Hero loves doing some really experimental animation sometimes and I love it.

Skyler Anderson

I love how Iida's goal is to practice being the hero he wants to be instead of playing to win. Rescuing Todoroki was sweet even if that cost them the win.

Sage

Yeah it's really gonna whip the arc into full gear Edit: Nevermind my vague joke is actually about the fight after the next one lol I forgot

Nick

Even better is that that song has been used for Todoroki in season 2 when Deku told him it was his quirk. It's sort of the song that represents the duality between Shoto Todoroki and Endeavor and has been set up like that since the beginning

Nick

Next match is my favorite!

Simon Varvaressos

A. Glad you’re starting to appreciate and respect 1B a bit more! They’ve got a good couple of absolute ringers, if they were given the plot significance and attention of 1A. B. I definitely love Tetsu Tetsu too and this was a great episode for him for sure. But both when reading this in the manga, and first seeing the episode, Mudman/Juzo is the one I really came away impressed with. He’s a genius and adapts to almost any situation necessary. Plus, he’d gotten a lot less focus and screentime than Tetsu Tetsu had by this point, so I had more to be impressed by lol. C. Cannot wait for Monday’s reaction! Been hyped for that episode since season 5 started lol

Jake White

Yeah, like, I can't even be mad at 1Bs teacher and Monoma anymore, coz I too was sleeping on Class B prior to this arc, and given their showing here they totally deserve to let out their frustration about always being in 1As shadow for a bit. I mean, I used to think Monoma was just talking shit because he's feeling insecure about being left in the dust, but now, it feels more like 1B can actually stand their ground against 1A.

kingafreund

"I'm still too slow" - Iida Alright, Barry Allen. Calm down.

Alacor

This show does training arcs so well. I mean, it is about a hero SCHOOL, so it is almost exclusively training arc whether it be school-based training or real-world experience. But for both, it shows the training's effectiveness very well by tying in character's previous motivations to now.

Sam B

I feel like Alex’s class 1A bias evens out Vlad’s class 1B bias lol

Samiyan Vambram

honestly todoroki showing his new move w the endeavor theme from last season’s finale is such a nice detail to showcase the parallel between them.

lineth pizarro

*Todoroki burning people alive*, pony girl *makes Ojiro bleed a little with her horns*, Goodwin "this is crossing a line", lmaooo, i get why you say that because they showed blood with they usually don't do too much, but that was just a funny moment

Francesca White

So the reason Iida didn’t turn is because he couldn’t. He said he couldn’t control that speed fully (which Mudman remembered). He would have to slow down to turn. Imagine going 100+ mph and accelerating then trying to make a sharp left.

Samiyan Vambram

Glad to see Goodwin joining in on the Tetsutetsu hype train

Geneva The Weeba

the animation is so good. people give s5 shit for the production and I agree its the worst looking season visually but it still pulls off some slapper scenes here and there.

benj

When the sakuga hits as Iida speeds past Mudman haha

Muchymozzarella

Did you just make a EWW reference

SirLagginton

Thank goodness Sweaterlord hath returned

Geneva The Weeba

I always have to check the YouTube link as well to check the joke Synopsis, the presentation of these videos is great

Nick

I swear, your descriptions shall never cease to be perfection

Geneva The Weeba

Iida also got well deserved amazing animation here too

Nick

Simply describing the level of excitement I felt when Todoroki and Tetsutetsu fought doesn't do it enough justice I transcended to the 700th plane when that shit happened. My third eye opened, the fog lifted. That fight scene was peak MHA

Nick

ayy

Kamolak

The lord has risen. Thanks be to Goodwin and the creators of My Hero Academia.
