October + November Catchup and Q&A

Cobra Kai would be an awesome show to react to! I also think it could potentially expose your channel to new viewers outside of the anime reaction sphere :)

Jacobium118

I do rarely comment, but would also 100% recommend Arcane - it's a great show and I think you'd like some of the deeper points that the show makes (plus, with your style of videos, I think getting your thoughts on these things is super interesting).

jesus Naruto is long and even longer if combined with Shippuden i only ever skipped one filler and it was in Shippuden because I'm not a mecha person so mecha naruto was just terrible some yt u could watch would be lilsimsie or the hoof gp wanna watch some sims 4 or someone taking care of the hooves of cows in Scotland? XD OH ORRRRRR u can watch Sandi Brock taking care of her Sheep :3 there should be new babies soon :3

Brimmy

If you haven't watched it yet, watching some Star Wars stuff would be epic! don't know how plausible that is for copyright on YouTube though. Would love to hear your philosophical-like approach to lots of themes in that series. Especially the tv shows (The Clone Wars and Rebels, which are animated. And The Mandalorian and future shows which are live action). I know it might be a little different to the things you normally watch, like Anime, but it's still really cool, especially the Clone Wars. I'm sure you already have a huge list going though, lol. Just thought I would throw my two cents in and suggest something.

It should still be up on the patreon if you search, it was a good vid tbh but I don't think it'll see YouTube ever considering how harsh it is on movies

Nick

its a masterpiece that truly came out of no where. You don’t have to know anything about League of Legends either, I went in totally blind to all the lore and it was incredible.

benj

You need to watch Arcane bro. I understand that I diverted your attention to Cobra Kai but dude Arcane is incredible, even reviewers that are harsh loved it. I know I loved it.

Yusuf

Yes, things are beautiful the way they are. Is it like acceptance of what is and not 'what should be' is kind of a teaching that you would find amongst enlightened people. I think the fact that we will always get used to advancement no matter how magical they seem and see as mundane is a good way to realize that happiness won't come from fantasy and wanting more and magical things.

Yusuf

I just found out you have seen two heroes 💀

Sparky Sponge

I think you should watch the first film, two heroes. It becomes really relevant later on in a lot of ways (like it just got called back to in a big way in the manga) and you get to see a lot of stuff that the manga just couldn’t do anymore. The movies are all canon (as in they use characters the mangaka Hori wrote for the film, he makes the plot outline and gives the ok but he calls back to ALL of them in the manga and they exist in the same timeline etc) tend to exist to do things the manga can’t, so the first film two heroes came out after All might vs AFO meaning that we can’t have buff all might any more. The film will give you that season one Deku + AM mentor student magic as well as some pretty awesome all might fights! I’d love to see ur reaction to it!

Sparky Sponge

Didn't want to distract from another reaction so leaving it here, is Arcane on your radar? 9 episodes and pretty fantastic, with some philosophy stuff you'd have a real time with. Thanks as always my guy!

secretsecret

Yes to Cobrai kai and no to Naruto please. Cobrai kai is much shorter.

William Abbott

where's this avengers video sir?

??

Talking about how hard it would be to hire an editor got me thinking... What's the longest recording session you've had just in terms of thinking through your commentary and processing what you want to say? Since the final cut we see is always edited to some extent, even the extended versions. I'm wondering if you've ever had to sit there in silence processing before you say something

Nick

I like watching these while doing something else, it's like a podcast. Really nice

Nick

Definitely the worst scene to watch with your parents

Alex G

깊은 생각이 필요한 거나 토론하는 대화 아직 좀 어렵지만 해보자 ㅋㅋㅋ

Alex G

he usually takes Sundays off, so MHA is usually Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and Fruits Basket is Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday :)

Francesca White

you said you don't really watch youtube, but you should absolutely check out exurb1a if you have a bit of time. It's the perfect combination of philosophy and humor that I think would be soooo right up your alley

macrowave

Just started watching, but I’m really glad you decided to take that week off. I’m assuming that must’ve been a tough decision because being a creator is such a ‘what have you done lately’ type thing, and it’s never fun to feel like your letting people down, even when that might not even be the case. but it seems it really was a good choice. Btw, is MHA still coming later tonight or is this in place of that? Just to know whatsup.

this doesn't relate to the video much but it came to my mind while thinking about the different shows you've watched; basically, in a lot of ways, Fruits Basket is the ultimate Anti Shounen series. this doesn't really apply to most of the shounen shows you've watched, but with a lot of shounen i've noticed that they don't really take time to breath and just talk about the characters' feelings and emotions. it's nonstop action, nonstop plot, and character development is kind of pushed to the side. with Fruits Basket, it's the complete opposite, the show takes as much time as it needs to carefully develop each character and talk about their feelings. the one drawback of this though is that it's not a very plot heavy show, and I get nervous when people who are more used to shounen watch it, because i'm scared they might be let down by the lack of "plot", because the point of Fruits Basket isn't really that there's a big story, it's more about exploring human nature and how things in our lives affect us. of course most people i know don't really have a problem with Fruits Basket, I mean the final season is rated at the top up there with the likes of FMAB, but i always have that fear that people will be disappointed in the lack of a huge, grand plot.

Francesca White

The last scene of Evangelion should’ve been Shinji busting it to Asuka’s unconscious body. Easily the best moment in the entire franchise. /s

benj

Im telling you, its the ultimate fruits basket ship. Goodwin is subtly spreading the word by saying Kagure.

benj

omg now in this video you called Kagura "Kagure" instead of calling Shigure "Kagure" 😭 who is this mysterious Kagure

Francesca White

지금부터 한국말로 할까요?
