Reminds me of Black Lagoon fans being adamant about the lead lady's name being "Levy" rather than "Revy", even though the show states her name's short for "Rebecca". Or Hellsing and the whole "His name is 'Arucard'" nonsense, which is a whole other ballpark.

The author turned a complete side character into an actual relevant key player in the story. Like, Floch wasn't even a side character at first. He was just cannon fodder as he himself put it.

Even when the world is against them, the people of Paradis still managed to experience in-fighting and distrust amongst one another. We'll see if they can resolve anything...
