WHen you said like a TV show in a movie theater, what the show was really doing was ‘serials’ which were popular during the early history of movies, probably mostly in the 30s and 40s. Back then when you went to see a movie, you got to see newsreels, a cartoon and a serial among other stuff, which was basically one long adventure broken down into short sections of a few minutes each, with Flash Gordon or buck Rodgers and later Superman, Batman and captain marvel. If you didn’t want to miss a chapter, you had to come to the movies every week. Each chapter ended on a cliffhanger. Raiders of the lost arc also somewhat referenced them. I’m sure plenty of old ones are on YouTube now.

2020-09-15 15:58:39 +0000 UTCThe next two episodes are pretty divisive among lots of members of the fandom. I for one absolutely love them. Yeah amnesia is overused but it's not quite as bad a use of it as you're maybe thinking. Can't wait!

2020-09-15 14:49:03 +0000 UTCSo I wanted to mention how you say that Bolin is coming off as desperate since he doesn’t appropriately utilize his strengths was sharp because him growing up without parental figures and being on the streets for a while probably warped his sense of self-worth. Also his previous relationship with Eska probably really skewed his perception of relationships because notice how he's acting toward Ginger similarly like Eska was to him.

2020-09-15 09:15:19 +0000 UTCAs a Psychology student, I agree, the amnesia trope is wayyyy too overused and usually incorrectly as well lol However, the next two episodes are considered all time Korra or even Avatar favourites for some people. So I think they get a pass for now xD Also, the next two are so lore packed/connected with each other, I would definitely recommend doing a two-part reaction if possible to get a complete scope and understanding of it. I cannot wait to see your thoughts about them. But understandable if not, I don't remember how you have done multi parts before. P.S. I'm happy to see how much the Goodwin fam has grown over here on Patreon :D So happy for you!
