Although Klonny’s Latin American Sabbatical has begun and I am abroad for the next couple weeks, new content is en route including my preliminary analysis of Thomas Pynchon’s latest “Shadow Ticket”—but first, a surprise episode! I am typing and kissing the proverbial envelope to you from a convent high in the Andes that was requisitioned by the Shining Path and then fell into abandon, hopefully my cell service will hold long enough for it reach your ears.
Setting aside Gooner v. Kopite rivalry, I joined my fave Liverpool fan Isaac from Coexist Inc. a couple weeks ago to talk the beautiful proletarian game of fútbol, its commodification, bread & circus weaponization, the Mancunian Ref Mob and an Epstein-gate esque CSAM case involving a disgraced referee, the specter of match fixing in the global game (including the rigging of Palestine’s final Asian World Cup qualifier against them on Isntreal’s behalf, eliminating them from World Cup qualification), cucked FIFA head Gianni Infantino and Trump stealing the Club World Cup trophy in Miami, anti-Zio•nist ultras, finding a revolutionary spirit in the communal catharsis of the crowd, and & why we should seize the means of poesía en movimiento & return it to its worker origins ⚽️
Thanks to Isaac of Coexist Inc. for permitting me to crosspost this episode! Go support him on Patreon. And me too, if you haven’t yet.
