Update time!

Hey all! Damn, this must be the longest I've went without an update. No big reason, just me burying myself in the new build and setting some goals for myself which I needed to get done before writing an update. Also, once again my sense of the passing of time is all kinds of messed up this month. Weeks feel like days... I've only experienced it this strongly a couple of years ago during coughit. The rest of this post is going to be more like a stream of thoughts than anything else.

I've had a few normal hiccups this month with scenes not looking good and having to redo them from scratch. That's always a major motivation breaker for me. If I feel like I'm behind I start to rush myself and when I start to rush myself it puts me back on square one. I managed to shake that off and also been working on a mini-game for the new build. It's very simple and kind of whimsical really.... but I like it. You've already seen something a tiny bit like it before(in essence it's what vampussy was/is).

Do you remember me saying I didn't update that standalone minigame for Halloween(vampussy)? I did update it for myself, but it sucked on android so I decided to leave it be. It's something like that(if you squint your eyes and tilt your head), but I needed to change it and had a lot of difficulties getting it the way I wanted it to. Got that working too. The things you can fuck-up when having two project files open and are working in one when thinking you're working in the other can create quite some havoc!

Originally I wanted to add a bunch of mini-games for the Glacier spirits festival, buuuut I don't think I'll manage to come even close to that. The mini-game I mentioned earlier isn't even supposed to be part of that! ... though I might just rework it to be part of it. I don't know. Just don't be surprised If I let you proceed to the festival and leave you there without much to do. I don't really see how I can do the stuff I wanted to do in the remaining time, but I'll see.

I've contacted a creator of some drawing software which I was interested in using but couldn't because it was missing an essential functionality which I CAN NOT do without and he agreed it would make for a good addition and said he'd add it! That's pretty great because it's a native Linux application and there aren't that many of those which I like. More on that in the future hopefully.

So I'm down to my last working wacom 2 pen. All the others(I have six) are broken or starting having trailing lines... or have this weird mind of their own and start drawing extra loops... Well, they're all very old and I also have a nasty tendency to drop them which doesn't help... So I'm been getting myself some more wacom 3 tablets(yes more)! Just so I have plenty of spares. I buy them second hand and since they don't easily map to widescreen monitors(I do stuff to them to make 'em work halfheartedly) they're pretty cheap. I mean, they were made when widescreens weren't even a thing... I think? I'm not certain. I got my first one second hand at the time and I just never felt the need to progress to something new.

I also got a new pen mouse. Remember the yellow one? I now have a red one(because red makes it go faster -cough- 40k joke -cough-) It was and is great for my hand, but I couldn't adjust the dpi on it so I was basically moving it around on the equivalent surface area of a post stamp. Half an inch of movement on my desk translated to moving my mouse cursor from the far left end to the right end of the screen. It was ridiculously sensitive. My new one does the same thing as the old one, but allows me to make some bigger movements.... so basically I like it because it doesn't go as fast.

As I was looking for a mouse I also came across this balljoint doll. I've never used these drawing mannequins, but this one looked pervy which is always a good thing in my book and when I also saw a head for it which reminded me of Joo Dee, all my doubts melted away and I had to get it. I'll include pics! There are no clothes in Basing Se baby : )

Pfff. And that's what I've been up to! I don't have a drawing for you to liven up this post with because I'll need all the time I have if I want to finish on time and adding extras take me forever since I'm always second guessing myself. Or at least often enough

So I'll be leaving you again with that and a few pics of "Joo dee" as a substitute. I hope(and expect) to have more to tell and show you before the month is over!
