Well, it was a change of pace and nice to see that you put effort into it beyond creating events, and in case I sounded ungrateful or prickish, I wanna make it clear that I really appreciate you going the extra mile to make the game more than a visual novel with a few side locations, because that's a hell of a lot more than most adult games have going for them. But the fighting game... I think the biggest issue with it is that it looks more complex than it actually is - but since it can be beaten by mashing the same button over and over, and using a potion when RNG has been unkind and the enemy hits, it felt to me like an oversimplified version of the other combat in the game, which is saying a lot, considering that the other fighting in Four Elements Trainer isn't exactly rocket science. I liked the theme/reference and the idea in and of itself was neat, but having to fight one enemy three time, one of them five, the next one six, and so forth (don't remember the actual numbers, sorry) made that feel like a chore REALLY quickly, to the point where I don't want to explore the other potential story paths on the island and would hesitate to play the Love route in Book 2 again just because I don't want to have to play that minigame over and over again. I think the impression of it feeling like a chore is compounded be the other minigames, except this one stands out because it repeats several times.

Oh wow, that's a pretty strong reaction to the minigames. Some of that frustration is intentional(azula being unreasonable in her request to have you play volleyball several times), but we were hoping the others were a welcome change of pace or easy enough to work through reasonably quick. We'll have to wait and see if other players feel as strongly as you, but we're always trying to improve upon what we do. As for the walkthrough, you can find a bit about that in the latest art update.

Hey, love the new content and your humor is on point as always - i cracked up constantly. Especially when that crab popped up and then immediatly again when I realized you actually made that a minigame :D awesome work. I guess i came for the boobs (pun intended) and stayed for the heart that is within this project. Minor Question: I read in someone's comment that there is a Mai BDSM scene?! Did I really miss that? I thaught i played the whole game rather thorough. Minding how big the game got by now, with multiple routes and missable scenes, do you plan on making a walktrough?

Hey Chris, yes the love/slave route is decided at the beginning depending on which body you are put in. Sorry for not making that clear from the start. The love route is very incestuous this time around, but depending on how you play a none incest love mai bloom.

A walkthrough would be appreciated, especially for Book 2 - it wasn't too difficult finding everything in Book 1 but I find myself feeling stuck in Book 2 over and over, and it seems to me like I'm missing out on quite a bit of content on the island alone. !!! MINOR ISLAND SPOILER AHEAD !!! Also, don't take this the wrong way, I'm sure it was a bit of work to get all this in, but if I'm being honest, I DESPISE the minigames on the island - downright loathe them. The volleyball game is cool and all the first time around, but having to do it five or six times, without any changes to it? That makes it quite boring, in my opinion. And the fighting minigame... Jesus Christ... That turned out to be little more than mashing a single button for about fifteen minutes to get through all of them, but it definitely wasn't fun to me, at all, anymore after the first two or three fights - that minigame MASSIVELY outstays its welcome, in my opinion. The card game was a nice twist on what we already know and it was only mandatory for one event, so that was fine, but being required to do everything else over and over in order to advance was just awful. I mean, maybe I'm the only one who feels that way, but I think that the island would be better off having just one or two instances for each minigame and adding some more events (sex or no sex) instead.

Thanks for bringing those points to our attention! Number four on your list is also just one of those little glitches which managed to escape our attention. Not saying we won't ever do something more there, but for now it's a dead end. As for Ember Island, yes that's a unique part of the love route.

A few things I noticed that don't really make sense after Azula has been broken in the slave route. 1. If you try to go out at night, there should be a message like "It's too dangerous to leave the city this late" or "You have no reason to go out this late" instead of the one saying that Azula won't let you leave. Azula's not going to stop you from going out when she's your obedient slave. 2. There's several of her repeatable scenes where it shows her face (the one by the text box) as mad/upset where it doesn't seem to match what she's saying (generally where she actually was in that part of the scene before you broke her). There's some instances in her scenes where it still makes sense to use it, but it seems like in most cases only the text was changed after breaking her when both should have been. 3. After fucking Azula in the tower, the part that says "Azula wipes the tears from her face and tries to smile." has red text show up in the upper left corner saying "Image 'AFNC' not found." 4. This one isn't really after you've broken Azula, but is still in the slave route. After you reach a new relationship level with Lia, it continues to give that message every time you give her food and choose to talk with her. There appear to be no differences though after that first time. Are you supposed to be able to help her figure out the strange things that keep happening to her after some point? Or is the scene involving her and Azula the last of her content? On a different note, is this Ember Island update just tied to the love route?

Found an island bug I believe: Prior to the island and on the island i was the biggest dick ever, after rejecting getting mai a flower, it took me to the island screen. no matter where i go i can't progress, just get a "there's nothing here right now"

It probably should have been mentioned this stuff is in the love route only. I loaded up a save of the slave route and nothing was different. Then loaded the end of the water nation and played through it all again as slave route and again the same. Then started a brand new game overwriting my water save so I could play all through that and continue on the play all of the fire nation stuff again as slave route only for it to be the same. After a few days of doing this, maybe I'll get to see the new stuff finally

So, I love the new scenes, there are some really amazing ones in there but I have one concern.. Are they a one time thing? preveiously you could see the latest version of a scene whenever you'd like but with these.. They are gone after you experience them.. =< Will there be a way to replay them later or something?

Ah thankg god, I thought I messed up and had no clue where because I was like 90% pro Mai xD it would definitely help to choose who before leaving, because it caused quite some confusion to me. And while the minigames are fun enough, the crab stuff is rather tedious because i'm the kind of person that has to get all legendary crabs and try to win fights without using potions and such xD Great effort though, really, you guys put a lot of stuff in this time, the scenes alone are way more than normal and thats not taking into account all the minigames too, good job guys! Can't wait to see how the love route ends (personally more a slave guy but hey, you guys make love routes worth the time =3 )

It depends a bit on how much time we feel we have. Some ideas are reserved as extra's which we only do if everything is going as smooth as butter. Buying a scene ticket gives you a chance to be picked for a request, but is no guarantee you will. It's up to how the dice roles. But yes, requesting a Book 1 scene would be entirely okay.

There are some H scenes with her during the slave route, but those are towards the end of the route with the other girls. there are also a few very small scenes with her earlier, but those are mostly seeing her nude/partially nude.

I found a glitch that happens in the 3rd memory dream. If you go to the middle door first before destroying the 2 false memories. The game locks up, your memory ball thing disappears and the door shuts leaving you unable to continue.

I haven't found the Blue Spirit mask, I think I've hit the bug (this is my first run with the love route and with 0.5.03), I did masturbarte on Azula, or tried, but after the first night her door is always locked, and althought I've got to the rank of general, I cannot progress further. Could you allow purchasing this elements, like the mask, lockpicks, to avoid having to restart 5+ hours of gaming because of bugs?

Both books have love and slave routes ..... To have the island you need to play book 2 and choose the 1st option at the very beginning (to be put inside Zuko's body). If not, you'll be in the slave route and inside the thief body.

That is the other route. You have to choose to be Zuko in order to get to the love route. You played the slave route.

There are two routes. The thief route(also called the slave route and which you can finish entirely) is unlocked by refusing to be put into Zuko's body at the beginning of book 2. The other route (called the love or Zuko route)is opened by going along with the painted lady's idea of putting you in Zuko's body.

It automatically unlocks when you've progressed far enough. You do this by unlocking new scenes and their following variations(peeking etc), helping out Rei, training with Azula, asking Iroh for advice etc. One thing unlocks the other.

Might be more a bug report than a comment on this, but I spammed bought around 10 potions and my $ never went down .... Wish $ does go up but buying potions doesn't decrease it. And the whole crab battle is quite easy to finish (infinite $/potions not-withstanding) : I beat the 2 old ladies around level 7-8, I had 2 stronk (black) crabs and the 3 uniques and they weren't that hard to defeat. Waste the 2 black 1st to maybe kill 1 of theirs then unleash the uniques and maul the 2 old geezers ... And yes, the game tells you the unique crabs don't run away (might even be every time you get a new 1 too).

In the tree branches : there's a glowing orb (that's you), you can drag and drop that glowing 1 on the others. Depending on which you go, new spots will appear, continue you way on those. You'll probably run around in circles for a while, there seems to only be 1 "true" path, all the others are useless and will only make you restart.

Just checked. I guess I just saw the "Po-" and my brain filled in potions twice :P Since I didn't know I was going to Ember Island or that on the island I'd need some money, I ended up wasting my first wish and didn't have any money until the third day. I just wish I had some warning. Also, fights don't give much money and the farm takes forever before it gives a worthwhile profit (and only yields money once every 7 days) and the bar game can feel tedious if you haven't memorized the drinks, so it all ends up feeling very grindy to earn money in the game. Cool. Wish the game told me that special crabs didn't die (or if it did and I missed it, that there was a way to check the rules or some such). I was too scared to even try and use one in case it died. Is there any indication you're supposed to do that in the game? Or is that just something I'm supposed to stumble upon? That almost makes me wish she had no scenes at all. It feels like a tease, just like with all the extra characters in Book 1. Not a fan of it :P That's an incredibly unsatisfying answer, especially to the thing I wanted to know most :P Hm, that's interesting.

-The crab battle shop lists potions twice... One should be pockets, they’re both 100 coins. -Speaking of the shop... You can get 1000 coins from wishing, which is enough to max out pockets and still get plenty of potions. Bartending, fights, and the farm all give a ton of coins before you go over. -Also, since Mai now has a shop here, will we ever be able to go back? It’s possible. -The crab battle system has a few flaws… There’s no crab storage system access. It was originally just crab battles on the beach, but we expanded it to include trainer fights. It’s just a minigame, not intended to be functional on the scope of pokemon, but it's a fun little feature! We might develop it more in the future. The unique crabs you can earn never scuttle off, and you get an additional pocket for them automatically. “Punch” is your backup move - it can get really powerful with leveling up, but your low health makes it a dangerous bid. Zuko maxes out around 22. -I may have done something wrong, but after finding the candle, I wasn't able to do anything with it… Look around on the last day. -Is there an actual Ty Lee path? Ty Lee’s scenes are in thief route. The additional scenes in the love route are just for more pleasure. -Finally, how important are our decisions regarding Mai and Azula… You’ll have to wait and see! -Side note, there seems to be quite a few scenes of watersports content in the game... It seems to be a common fetish among our scene ticket winners.

I only had 46 coins when I went to the island, so I was out of luck for the most part (I made due, though). Also, since Mai now has a shop here, will we ever be able to go back? The crab battle system has a few flaws, at least in my opinion (if I'm wrong on any of these, please correct me). First, you always send out your weakest crab first. Second, you can't switch or pull back a crab after you send it out, meaning it either wins or it dies. Third, you can only open up a slot if a crab dies. It would make more sense for you to be able to release them and for them to not die if they lose in battle. Because of these things, I just save scummed so that Zuko would just punch the crabs and they would miss (should also mention that Zuko seems to stop getting stronger around level 20). I may have done something wrong, but after finding the candle, I wasn't able to do anything with it and the story just continued (unless I was supposed to refuse Azula or something?) and it's not brought up again. Is there an actual Ty Lee path? She has no content in the city and her content on Ember Island doesn't feel like it'll really lead anywhere. Finally, how important are our decisions regarding Mai and Azula? Will there be a possible ending with just Mai or one with both Mai and Azula? Or is Azula the only end game here? 'Cause after all the Mai content (and I'm not just talking about the adult content, I also mean the actual interactions), I'm actually leaning more towards her than Azula. This update is awesome! One can really see all the hard work and passion that went into it. The storyline and especially the art are on a whole new level. You guys keep improving every update. Might be worth to revisit the older books to improve them, once you finished all for of them. I liked how you adopted the island arc from the series and even small funny details. After seeing a lot of Mai this time, I hope there is much more to come. Would love to have a footjob scene with her (having seen her feet up close), but I guess the story is already to far along.... Don't want it to end like this, she needs a happy ending. Looking forward to the next update. Keep up the good work! :) Btw I support the idea of a community discord channel mentioned on the community page. Might be a good way to get feedback and help people that got stuck.

Train, fight, complete Rei's quests and get the day/night Azula scenes after the Ursa scene. If you're already there and you haven't gotten the Blue Spirit mask quest, you may have encountered a bug that prevents you from going to Ember Island. We fixed it in this version, but if you're already there, you'll have to start the fire nation over unfortunately.
