If you get confused on naming the two zangetsus, a good rule of thumb is to refer to them or either as "Zangetsu" when the distinction doesn't matter, and when it does matter, hollow Ichigo is "Zangetsu" as he is originally his true zanpakuto spirit and the source of his shinigami powers and hollow powers, the two type of beings that wield zanpakuto, while the quincy is "Old Man Zangetsu" as it is Ichigo's nickname for him anyway. Alternatively, "Hollow" and "Old Man" if you don't want to keep saying zangetsu
