Bongino’s Epstein Flip Flop (E325)
Added 2025-05-24 01:12:21 +0000 UTCWhat happens when conspiracists make their dreams come true by taking over the deep state agencies and cracking them open? FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino's recent shift from conservative radio host to federally-employed "Epstein killed himself" advocate has created chaos among those who hope for new revelations from newly influential insiders.
Joined by Will Sommer of the False Flag newsletter, Jake, Liv, and Travis dissect Bongino's controversial flip-flop, the disillusionment of the MAGA faithful, and Glenn Beck's anguish over the situation.
Meanwhile, James Comey's cryptic seashell Instagram post sparks a numerological panic and a Secret Service visit, mainstream conservative media cozies up to QAnon figures, and Elon Musk signals a pullback from political spending after a major loss in the Wisconsin Supreme Court election.

My parents used to tell us we couldn't watch the Simpsons bc the devil has to announce his plans first too. That was the 90s. Idt people realize how old this thought is.

2025-06-04 19:51:27 +0000 UTCSpeaking of conspiracists re-framing Trump appointees as the Deep State turncoats... I have a pretty unique specimen to highlight to y'all. I've been following this one guy, Hamish Patterson, aka "The Illusion" since like 2011. He's best known for his viral video, "Bowl Cut Maintenance," in which he explains how to give yourself a bowl cut with a pair of paper scissors. He's got the most perfect Malibu surfer accent I've ever heard. The man sounds like a cartoon. At some point in the past couple years he quit surfing and moved out to Kern County to build a homestead with his wife and kid. He's calls himself a "conservative christian," a "covid truther," and a "recovering alcoholic," and believes most/all health problems can be solved by eating vegetables that you grow in your back yard. He livestreams a couple times a week and cooks up some incredible takes. His recent livestream titled "5-D chess to steal your soul" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsa840NRMqY) is, hearteningly, mostly about acknowledging the genocide of Palestinians by Israel, as well as the genocide of indigenous peoples in North America. But there are some truly impressive takes in here. I've picked out some other highlights that I think are relevant to this pod ep: At 3:37... "Orange Man is an ingenious plot by the deep state and the globalists to entrap the once-vibrant sort of anti-state movement in America, right? I'll give you that within the whole motion of the American political psyche of the past five years, you had a great accumulation of people who were ready to bring down the American Corporation and replace it with the Constitutional Republic. And yet, they didn't realize that the choosing-between-two-evils thing was a baked-in deep state move by the globalists to trick the once-potent anti-establishment America movement into voting and putting in charge as their figurehead the ultimate globalist, which is Sir Donald Trump, dude. He's constantly revealing himself to be what he is-- organizing America into a people farm working for the globalists." Classic case of a dude getting soooo close to a functioning critique of American politcs and then just flagrantly beefing it. He makes this Corporation/Constitutional Republic distinction several times in the stream. He's more or less saying "participation in civic institutions used to be productive, but now the money is in charge." His flavor of civic-nationalism reminds me of my parents' outlook, which makes sense since I think they're around the same age and grew up in the same region. But there's an additional Christian spiritual dimension to his take: He calls the US constitution and the bill of rights "personal documents," as in, literally sacred and true on a personal level, not unlike scripture. But he's lost faith in the government's ability/willingness to enforce those laws. Like, God is dead, and Citizens United killed him. At 6:19... "The Sauce is one of the great revealers... It's funny to have watched Fed Bongino and Cuck Patel and Pam Bondage absolutely convert to the deep state, and watch all the right-wing copers sit there and tell me, 'Trust the plan, dude! Trust the plan! They're secretly working on a bigger case!' But I don't think that people really get that RFK is the same thing. And him throwing the litte, 'We're removing the coof sauce from the schedule for pregnant women and children,' that's just decoy, dude. Because anyone who is aware at this stage, is anyone putting the coof sauce in their space suit? I don't know, dude." I dunno if "Fed Bongino" really works, but Cuck Patel is pretty great, and Pam Bondage is an all-timer drag name. "Coof sauce in your space suit" obviously refers to the covid vaccine, but he's the only person I've ever heard use this term. The only reference to "coof sauce" I found in my cursory DuckDuckGo search was an Urban Dictionary entry from 2008: "when someone is extremely wet from behind the three point line in basketball." I'm making an educated guess that "wet" means "likely to score" in a basketball context, but secretly hoping it's sexual. At 15:57... "I hope everyone's understanding that Donald Trump is a total dipshit. Like, he's a dipshit. Like, it's becoming more and more apparent every day what a dipshit he is. And, like I said, I root for him not to be a dipshit, but more and more it's becoming quite obvious that he's a dipshit. [...] Let's not forget what MAGA stands for: MAGA is the highest order of the church of Satan." Turns out Magus/Maga is a title for satanists who have reached "fifth degree" status, the highest level within the hierarchy of the Church of Satan as laid out by Anton LeVay. Good stuff. At 47:05... "What they're doing with the genocide in Gaza is the same thing as the vaccine inserts. So if, like, you go down to the pharmacy, or CVS, your doctor's office, and you wanna, like, put sauce on your noodle, you can go there and be like, 'can I have the insert?' And they're obligated to give you the insert for that sauce that you're gonna put in your noodle. And you'll read this thing that folds out and lists all the things that could go wrong. Well, that's what's going on here on an international stage. They're giving you the insert label via Gaza and what is going on there, and going, 'well, if you're cool with this going on here, and you're not gonna stop this, what we're gonna do is do that to other groups of people down the line. And because you didn't stop it now, you null-and-void all the Nuremberg stuff, and the world court and all that stuff which was set up to prevent this.'" Like, in general, I think he's correct that failing to stop a genocide makes future genocides more likely. But the covid warning label thing is just bonkers. Like, he got the right answer despite using the entirely wrong formula. Probly the most impressive bake of the stream. Honestly I think this guy deserves a whole episode. Amazing character, loves to yap... endless possibilities.
