They attended the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) so you didn’t have to. Enjoy the CPAC International Summit where leaders like Liz Truss (UK), Eduardo Bolsonaro (Brazil), Morse Tan (South Korea), Steve Bannon (1933 Germany), and representatives from Japan, Australia, Hungary, Mexico, and Israel gathered to plot a far-right international coalition and whine about how their Big Beautiful Boys have been so poorly treated. Join Julian and Anthony as they run into JFK Jr (who is alive and well) as well as a whole lot of January 6 rioters, including one that still has a lot of love for QAnon. This is the first of a two-part episode based on our latest field reporting in Washington DC.

I’ve had a very difficult time listening to anything talking about current events, but I found Julian’s pain so relatable and comforting because it made me feel less alone, and I was able to endure what amounts to a gathering celebrating right-wing ascendancy without falling into a black pit of despair. So because he was in “disneyland” when Jan 8th happened he couldn’t be planning a coup, even though he’d spent the last 3 months saying that the election was stolen and encouraging his supporters to camp in front of military facilities as a way to pressure them into action, a tactic intended to resemble the 1964 mass right-wing protests that precipitated the military dictatorship. Also the whining about inelegibility is specially hipocritical as Lula was declared ineligible in 2018, which was very important for Bolsonaro’s election in the first place.

There were no cult members living in the house and we had very little interaction with the management, but every new resident got a free copy of Ryuho Ogawa's books, and there were regular cleaning and gardening staff who were cult members and they were basically zombies. I lived there five years and I don't think I ever heard them speak.
