We’re on a path to another genocide… possibly but does Rob realize he’s on the side brining violence and intolerance to LGBTQ+, Jews, women, Muslim while the other side is actively trying to dispel the hate comments to prevent the dehumanization of populations that led to various genocides?! As for caring about his kids… thought most were adults now, but a leading cause of death in 18 and under is guns but I doubt he’s out there trying to put any restrictions on that. I don’t care if you shoot yourself in the foot, but I’m not looking to have a hole in my foot because of your beliefs.

Rob Schneider’s impersonation of Stallone really was his best acting here, for a second I actually thought it was Stallone. Although, it must be because acting like his brain is soup isn’t too far off from reality.

To save others time from going down a rabbit hole I’ve been down before: Calling Ian Curtis a fascist is inaccurate. Joy Division fought skinheads and played a Rock Against Racism benefit. Their lyrics critique totalitarianism. The name essentially means being abused by fascists. I think a lot of his interest had to do with critiquing power dynamics, even if it does seem problematic today. Other punk bands from the era appropriated Nazi imagery without a deeper critique (Sex Pistols, Ramones, etc.). Definitely wouldn’t put Joy Division in this category. Though over the years it’s been proven out that if you allow space for Nazis to latch onto something and claim it, they will. It’s made punk artists be more deliberate. The genre now is better for it (despite what older punks say).

I just saw a review of this movie... And the most consistent criticism was why the heck rob schneider had to be in a stallone film. He even gave the murder robot a better rating and fitting in the plot than Robs. Literally not even an AI, an animatronic was better in the movie than a full fleshed human. Once I realised the weakness of the flesh..
