Damn, I didn't even know they MADE gunpowder-fueled nail guns! But even so, I have to assume this guy brought a standard DeWalt with a portable air compressor or something equivalent, thinking the nail itself would just shatter the glass. At least, that is the version I find the most amusing, so that's how I picture it.

There is a degree of truth to the idea. During The Millennium Dome Raid, thieves tried to steal a massive diamond. The diamond was stored behind "bomb proof" glass designed to resist a 60 ton ram raid. Yet they were able to break through the glass. How? By shooting it 3 times with a powder actuated ( gunpowder powered) nail gun, then repeatedly smashing those nails with a sledgehammer. This took 2 people and a some minutes to make it work. That being said, this guy was an idiot...
