Also, I would like to take a moment to shout out my favorite extra in the film: the scientist in the surveillance center playing ping-pong.

Leslie

I genuinely fully believe this film was a major inspiration for Succession. Like, the family dynamics? The themes? Even many of the specific lines and acting choices for Pa Kegan seem very Logan Roy-esque.

Finally got to see this movie. Absolutely insane I love it. All it’s flaws just makes it better

Daniel Rodriguez

The way Matt describes it, a more on-the-nose version of this Capitalist anti-hero's journey would be The Ruling Class (1972), the Peter O'Toole movie.

Great episode guys. Love the breakdown of the movie. Going to have to watch it again with this perspective in mind.

An in person Matt appearance is such a treat. I can tell because he’s having so much more fun right from the start

Kenneth Smith

I love Matt's description of capitalism as a parasite ...so apt

Vanessa Lucio

Dude, this movie sounds awesome!!!

Claire Hofbauer

Weirdly, despite all of the amazing work you guys have done, this is the most satisfying episode yet. Bravo!

Anthony Perkins’s wife was also in this film: the photographer, model, and occasional actress Berry Berenson, and the younger sister of model and actress Marisa Berenson (who is notable for her roles in Cabaret and Barry Lyndon). Anthony Perkins died in 1992; almost exactly nine years later, Berry Berenson was a passenger on American Airlines Flight 11 when it was hijacked and crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Truth is stranger than fiction.

Very interesting! I think I have a new movie to watch.
