Episode 186: Portrait of a Q-Pilled January 6th Poster Boy

Q-Pilled Iowan Doug Jensen speaks to the FBI. He is a January 6th capitol rioter who was seen in a viral video wearing a QAnon t-shirt and chasing a capitol police officer up several flights of stairs. He has since experienced a roller coaster of legal developments due to his inability to stay away from the internet. But thanks to recently released court documents, we now have a more full picture of Jensen’s motivations and activities that day. They included a lengthy interview he conducted with the FBI just two days after the riot, on January 8th. It's an astonishing look at how QAnon seemingly spurred Doug Jensen into action.

Great episode

Came here to say the same thing. Maybe people in my life are on opiates for various chronic pain conditions and it doesn't make them slobbering fools who fall into any scam that comes along. It just makes them able to get through the day without wishing for death!

"Otherwise I sound like a cuck.." 🤣🤣🤣. This dude is definitely a few 🍟 short of a happy meal. And to watch Mike Pillow after.

Hey, maintenance opioids are a thing. I’ve been taking daily opioids for 14 years and they allowed me to function somewhat normally until my retirement last summer. Stellar episode otherwise. I wish I could have sympathy for this knob, but I kept remembering his smirking face.

Since you mentioned wondering if the FBI actually follows these conspiracies as part of their investigating I can tell you they definitely do. I made a very valid report to them involving January 6 and had to speak to an agent. We ended up playing phone tag and I never got a phone interview until after he’d interviewed the person I reported. So he ended up talking to me about it and I can tell you they’re doing their due diligence following the online conspiracy posts and they’re as exhausted by the brain melted beliefs of these people as we are.

the lads manage to make it a very funny episode, but it really is a tragic story. i couldn't help but feel sad for doug. just awful.

Beyond keen for The Travis View Show

Christ, when the curtain is pulled back on most of these people's stories, it truly is a God damned tragedy.

Savanna LaMaison

Agreed ! I love when he hits it perfect like that. I must say Jake and his stories are probably my favorite part of the show.

Mark Quintana

Wow, y’all. I found this to be pretty profound and definitely one of the best episodes of yours I’ve heard. Also - some seriously stellar table reading going on here 🤩

Can I just say the choice to have Jake read Doug’s parts was perfect, it was probably the obvious choice. He always does such a phenomenal job of embodying a lost soul searching for clarity and meaning within scraps of melted garbage discovered on the internet, desperately trying to reassemble and explain the narrative that made so much sense just days before. Spot on episode, boys. Proud to be a subscriber.

These past few episodes have been heaters fellas keep it up!
