Premium Episode 131: Time Cube

A theory of everything from the early internet turns into a tragedy as the audience interacts with its author in universities, on television shows and online. This is the story of Gene Ray, the "wisest human" and his disciple Richard Janczarski, who suffered terribly for his interest in the Time Cube theory.

oh my god. I completely forgot about this but I certainly did dive into it back in the day.

Jesus I'm old enough to remember EYada and listening to Lionel.

I’m a couple months late but the teaser for this episode made me finally become a patron. I’ve been obsessed with Time Cube for years.

And no matter how many times you listen, it doesn't make sense. I love it

I'm about to do a BMX contest whilst listening to Gene Ray's GA tech visit. I will get four corner cube pure truth out one way or another!! ALL HAIL TIME CUBE!!!

I’ve listened to this episode like 4 times. That old guy is nuts

Such a sad episode. I find it interesting that he even touched on the fact that he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. From a layperson’s perspective, this is absolutely textbook schizophrenia. His severe lack of empathy, bigotry, and inappropriate response to the suicide are also likely manifestation of his mental illness, and may or may not represent who he would be without it (I’m not saying that people with schizophrenia are all racist or that schizophrenia excuses racism, just that there is a connection. The delusions and conspiracies that are real to them are all completely horrible, so there’s possibly a connection there, is all I’m saying). In my experiences with people close to me in real life and with these dark places of the internet, there are so many mentally ill people like Gene Ray who both find a platform to express their horrific delusions and find more rabbit holes that aggravate their own delusional thinking. It’s a heart breaking problem without an easy solution.

When the Supreme Cubist speaks...the Boomhauer voice makes it so hard to understand...listened 3 times, barely got it.
