Premium Episode 119: Jeffrey Prather & The Warriorschool Cult feat "Maddy"

From DEA agent to Q-pilled martial arts cult leader, Jeffrey Prather teaches gun katas, claims to be trained by an Apache and believes he's fighting the deepstate. He was also accused of sexually assaulting two women participating in his "Warriorschool" about a decade ago. We speak to Maddy, a woman who participated in the cult between the ages of 14 and 17, even going through a bizarre initiation ritual. Today she is 30 and wondering why Prather can continue operating freely in Tucson, Arizona (and around the world).

Maddy’s story was right on. I joined the group in the 90’s. Bored with the bar scene, I met a guy into this nonsense, married him and was heavily involved for awhile. Everything Maddy said hit home.

It was white clay/mud. I too was involved in this cult in the 90’s

Ok

That's a pretty shitty thing to say. She sounds like somebody who was young and was looking for direction, an authority figure to trust and the ability to feel special. In other words, completely normal for a 15 year old.

Love the show but Y’all talking way too fast!!!

This is how Hillbilly isis starts.

Maddy was wonderful. I know many Aussies and she reminds me of many of them. Sadly, I know more than a few people snagged by these kinds of self-help types of cults.

Maddy was a wonderful guest. I really appreciate how every guest on the pod is given an ample amount of talk time. Shows a great level of respect and makes your content so enjoyable and interesting.

"Imagine being too racist for Arizona" was a life long Arizonan I can confirm the fact that he was banned from a Tucson radio station is SHOCKING, they racist AF down there

Lol at the "trained by Apache," stuff; so very L. Ron Hubbardly with the back story nonsense.

Yeah, I have several questions about that

Brianna Cluck

Maddy was a great guest, so eloquent!

I’m sorry.... are we not gonna clarify the white goo?

Great episode! Really great hearing from Maddy, awesome guest!

There are more of these sorts of things than you'd think. They're not all cultish to the same degree, but the cult element and right wing politics blend with martial arts more easily than you'd like, in part I think because the instructors are small business owners self-selected for an interest in discipline and honor culture and who are more likely to be South Korean expats or whatever, so there's a pretty conservative baseline. In college martial arts clubs, you often have people join that were previously in things called something that's not exactly "Warrior School," but close enough. It will likely not surprise you that their prior martial arts education tends to be somewhat lacking.
