Heeeeey so.
Added 2022-01-07 21:49:05 +0000 UTCI just found pretty much my entire patreon on some random website...
So... to whomever is posting everything, UNDER MY NAME, no less; Please stop. I really don't want to make my work "pay when you subscribe", but I will if I have to.
I don't care if people post things to other sites so long as you credit me; but do not post patreon only works, and do not post under my own name, please.
I doubt this will even help; but I thought I'd a least ask...
-edit-
Also... uh... thank you, whoever, for linking to my actual patreon page, at least..?
I'm very confused by this, but... thaaaaanks? =_=

Good luck! :3 -Personally-, I don't like my art being posted elsewhere, but I know some artists don't mind that so much. But definitely not exclusive content!

2022-01-08 04:17:52 +0000 UTCI highly doubt that... My friend does way different art than I do, and isn't a furry. Plus with the sheer amount of posts/accounts on that site, there's no way it's just a few people doing it. X/ There's... over 20,000 artist's patreons/gumroads/... everything basically, there

2022-01-08 00:56:17 +0000 UTCMaybe check with your friend, see if there’s a common user between you both that subscribed and unsubscribed within the past month or so? I imagine if they’re putting the art elsewhere, they aren’t necessary gonna stay as patrons, and would resub at a later date to leak more.
2022-01-08 00:04:36 +0000 UTCWell I sent a request in, so... will see how that works out. I gave the stipulation that, I don't mind the site hosting my work, so long as they only post my work which has been made publicly available by myself

2022-01-07 23:29:52 +0000 UTCWell definitely give it a shot! Better than not :) And I don't think there's any fees or legal stuff beyond probably proving this is in fact your content, but I've never done one myself so I'm not sure. Good luck either way, I hope the content gets removed!! :3

2022-01-07 23:13:28 +0000 UTCHm... That's a good point, yeah.. I'll try and file one, but.. if it involves like... legal... stuff (lawyers and whatnot), I absolutely cannot afford to do that... I've never had to file a DMCA before, so I don't know how that all works.. In addition, there are hundreds of people (some very well known and popular people) whose works are also there, so I can't imagine they haven't all filed complaints as well. So I'll give it a shot; but... not going to hold my breath... X/

2022-01-07 23:11:45 +0000 UTCWell frankly, I would say: On the one hand, they're stealing your work. On the other hand: There is no other hand. Stealing cannot be justified. Honestly, forget whether they (the website) have backups. A DMCA Takedown Request is a legal complaint against content theft. They would be -required by law- to remove the content I think within 30 days, and cannot re-post it. It's not whether they have backups; it's whether they want to face DMCA fines. Trust me when I say, this is the right way to go. I had a friend years ago that was torrenting stuff. He downloaded what he thought was an anime, and turned out to be a "sting" kinda thing (ie. fake video, hosted by Funimation themselves), so that they were able to obtain his IP address, and thus file a DMCA-related lawsuit against him. They agreed to not proceed with the case, if he agreed to cease-and-decist. Also a couple weeks ago, I received a DCMA Takedown notice at work (I'm a network engineer), that someone on our network was sharing copyrighted works. It actually turned out to be coming from a company that we have since divested and no longer have control of their network, so I didn't have to take further action, but still, I've seen that side of it. Absolutely 100%, file a complaint against this site, ESPECIALLY if this wasn't just like some dumbass on DA posting something of yours, but rather a website intended to steal others' works. DON'T feel bad about it, and definitely don't think of it as "well maybe people come to you because of the link-back". Remember, people went to that site with the intention to get paid content for free, so they're very unlikely gonna become a paid supporter of yours (unless they're also a spy)!
