I don't even know what to say anymore.

The elevator in our hotel fell today while I was at work. The only person in it was my grandmother. She's alright (as far as she knows); just shaken up.

I have no words anymore.
No words other than I'm almost of the belief that we've been legitimately cursed.

My sanity stands at around 30% by this point, and Idk what happens once it hits zero.

*jammed. Not fell; jammed. she misspoke.

*hugs* Thank you; and same. Not looking like the luck will change anytime soon though, honestly. Just re-ordered my phone, and they're delivering it on the single day this week that I work. And I need to sign for it :/ Just bleh.

i do hope you and your family can just... break out of this. 2020 is being a shit year for everyone but you still continue to somehow get worse than everyone else. ... need a hug?

In this case, I'd say "when it rains, there's a microburst" XD;; She seems to be yes. Paranoid, now; because she's got claustrophobia... but otherwise fine. And... That.. wow. You'd think they'd get the elevators looked at by that point.. That's just ridiculous O_o

Oh, I know it's not just us dealing with stuff with this awful year... just would be nice if things would... Idk spread out?? Like not have so much shit happen at once? 2 days ago my phone started dying on me, my store owner changed the schedule without telling anyone.. 1 day ago I was told my amazon account was hacked (it wasn't, but now my phone order is postponed), had the thing with the elevator happen; not 3 hours later we got a call that our priest died of a massive heart attack, aaand the cherry was when she opened her bottle of carbonated water and it pretty much exploded all over her and the room for no reason. Like... just.. not everything all at once like that anymore, universe. ><;; I might be doing okay for now; but really don't know what's going to happen once my stress hits the threshold. And if more things go wrong, that's going to be by next week at this rate X/

...... Hmm, when it rains, it pours is certainly a saying here. I mean first thing’s first, I do hope your grandmother is okay. I’m glad to hear she misspoke, that it wasn’t a fall. I was originally going to say that sounds like a lawsuit. My previous workplace had 3 elevators. In any given week, one or two would break down, and every month one or two people would be stuck in them for a couple of hours. It got to the point where it was considered a way away from phone calls, to try and get yourself stuck in it.

I know it might not be a condolence, but we've all been through rough patches at one point or another, especially this year. I'm glad to hear it was just a jam, too! You're doing great at keeping on, I'll see what I can do about removing curses :3

Didn't actually fall; she misspoke. She just was trapped in it for 30+ minutes because it jammed. Still not good... but better than falling.

Chances are that elevator has had it's maintenance neglected (which is super illegal in most states) and if that gets reported your job's company is in for some serious financial pain
