Hey Everyone!
In an effort to be more proactive and experimental with various platforms I want to start by making changes to the way I go about my Patreon. So as most of you know, I tend to post bi-weekly development snapshots covering most of the work I've been engaged with for the prior two weeks. That will be reformulated into two posts a week, one on Wednesdays dubbed 'open studio' posts and ones on Saturday for 'development' posts. The open studio posts will cover everything from my life drawing samples, creative illustrations, hobby projects, and conceptual designs while the development posts will be covering the work in progress posts for ongoing animation projects as well as discussion on the development for them. Premieres for early screenings will take place on either one of those days as far as completed projects go.
After some reflection I felt that bi-weekly posts isn't quite frequent enough for people to warrant their support in what I do so giving you all a glimpse on a weekly basis was more appropriate, I also didn't want to make postings too frequent as to inundate your inbox with updates, so having them spread out over 2-3 days a piece seems sensible. Of course if the practical reality of it doesn't accommodate this change I can always adjust it again but I want to see how this approach works for now.
Other things that will see improvement as I go are the UI graphics to various aspects of my Patreon for better readability, updates to my commission documentation and proactive activity with other platforms like FA.
Moving on...
Here's some sample shots involving what I've been animating this past week. I've had a terrible case of the flu since last week so progress has been slower. Luckily I am recovering and my work flow has reflected this. No worries though! I'm taking good care of my health and pacing myself, this is just an explanation to where I'm at with things. The time off has actually given me space to contemplate how I want to improve my venues and services.
Moving forward I'll be aiming to complete 15 frames each day during project work days. This may vary depending on the complexity of shots but it'll keep things moving. I'm also going to start exploring water color, background painting and graphic design work to improve the aesthetics to my animations. This will start evolving in the works as time goes on.
