March Snapshot #2

Greetings! I've come with only a snippet for show and tell this week but that's mainly due to my focus on working out the in-betweens for all my active projects. The finish lines is rapidly approaching, no release dates yet though!

On a separate smaller tangent, you might have noticed that I take certain liberties with hands in earlier animations. Usually relegating them to masses that mimic the form, usually for the sake of focusing on other aspects of animations I work on, be they transformative or complex in motions. I'll probably making a transition to move into fleshing out that as well for future projects since I've had time to articulate a bit more on body language with the use of hands (you can already see that transition in some works.)

Among the principals of animation are slow-ins/outs, which are a common guideline. I've been utilizing that more to push into more spontaneous animation between planned shots. It helps give characters more weight and natural flow as we know it. Its clear that I have to slow down my mind in the process of motion to make movement and flow feel more natural instead of a zippy all over the place visual (where its warranted.) The balancing act comes when there's a lot of things to cover for a project in a (arguably) small space of time, so there's a delicate balancing act to satisfy both angles on this design-wise.
