Added 2021-08-02 16:13:00 +0000 UTCHey everyone, Moogs here. Alright this card is a trip, which is probably why I like it so much. I wanted to make a direct upgrade to Supernatural Border. I wanted it to be strong. A high roll on the Lunatic gacha.
First, I did the obvious thing and removed that Powerup type. Item destruction still provides a pressure valve, but it’s not that much stronger than simply having another Powerup card.
Second, I thought about changing the benefit from Graze to Reflect Shot. That can feel very swingy, perhaps even feast or famine. How about Graze or Revenge Shot? Perhaps unintuitively, that can feel worse? “Oh, I have to attack Yukari, lose or lose I guess.” Split the difference? That would allow all possible states, and the attacker gets to ask “so you’re saying there’s a chance?”
Now, this is obviously Artifact level, right? No. Let’s keep it Defense. A secret bonus artifact slot, stashed away in a gap. Dammit, Yukari!
