Production Blog 🎬: Rethinking Birds

Recently I hit up my on-and-off character designer and former roommate, Crunchy, about how i could possibly make my bird characters look better, specifically talking about Bird News.

After a bit of a late night brainstorm sesh, we came up with the image on top there. I thought the birds in Bird News were rather awkward looking, too humanly proportioned and basically... generically furry.

Of course moving to a cuter, more cartoony style would mean reanimating the video but all storyboarding, backgrounds and audio work is already complete. It would take only at least a week. Not even past when I plan on releasing it so no worries! :)
