Hello and welcome to the FAQ page! Here you’ll be able to find a bunch of questions I get asked on the reg, hopefully the answer you seek will be in here somewhere, but if not please feel free to reach out to me with your questions.

• How does Patreon work?

Patreon is a way to support creators you like via a subscription model. There is currently 2 options for supporting creators:

1. Per month – Patrons will be charged once per month under this model. The amount they are charged depends on the tier they pledge to. Currently Patreon takes payment on the 1stof each month regardless of when patrons sign up, so please be aware of that.

2. Per creation – Patrons will be charged each time a creator puts out a paid post, the total charge per month depends on how many paid posts the creator puts out each month. Patrons can also limit the amount of paid posts they’d like access to, limiting the amount they are charged per month.

• Is your Patreon Per Month or Per Creation?

My Patreon is Per Month, that means you are only charged once per month at the tier you pledge to!

I also have the ‘Pay annually’ option on which allows you to pay for a year’s worth of content at once which the added benefit of a 10% savings!

• What will I get access to?

You’ll get access to my whole Patreon backlog, everything I’ve put out so far! You’ll also get new releases for as long as you are subscribed.

• Tier prices are different to your advertised prices, what gives?

Patreon may need to add Tax/VAT to the price depending on your location and the laws of that country. Patreon may also convert the original $USD price into your local currency. Creators have no control over Tax/VAT/conversion rates, only the base $USD price.

• I don’t want to use Patreon, can I buy your content elsewhere?

Yes, I have a Roll20 Marketplace store where you are able to purchase map packs individually if that is your preference. My Roll20 store is updated a couple of months after Patreon releases normally. Patreon will have the most up to date stuff.

• Can I download everything in one go?

There isn’t an option to download everything at once. Mainly to limit piracy of my stuff (creators often have issues with people signing up, downloading everything and then bouncing, dumping everything on a YAAARR site), and partly because there is a lot of it and constantly growing. I do have a Master Post that lists everything I’ve made so you can look through that and download content as you need it.
As long as you are a patron you’ll have access to all my content when you need it :)

• How do you create your maps?

I use Clip Studio Paint to make all my maps and other artwork. I hand paint them using an Artist 12 Pro display tablet.

• Can I hire you for a commission?

I am currently not taking on private commissions. If you are a publisher please email me at mrkranecreative(at)yahoo(dot)com to find out my availability.

• Can I use your maps in my streamed/recorded game?

Yes you may! If you are a Patron or have purchased my content from my Roll20 store you can use it in your streams/recorded games. Please include a credit to me and link to my Patreon where appropriate (Title card, description etc).

Please do not distribute the maps or assets or post the high res versions of them. Check out the Commercial Licensing Info for more details.

• I am a 'DM for hire' Can I use your maps in my paid games?

Yes you may! If you are a Patron or have purchased my content from my Roll20 store you can use it in your streams/recorded games. Please include a credit to me and link to my Patreon where appropriate, like on your website or advertising for example.

• Can I use your maps in my own products?

Provided you are pledged to the tier that offers a commercial license, you will be able to use my maps in your own products/published work. However this license comes with certain requirements and restrictions and does not give carte blanche over the use of my maps, please carefully read the Commercial Licensing Info page for full details.

• Do you have a place where I can find everything you’ve released?

Yes! Check out this Master Post, everything I’ve released and will release is linked on this page for easy access.
