Update 03/28/19 *** Important ***

Heyas folks,

first off, let me apologize about the missing chapter previews for Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! There's a reason for me not having released any further chapter previews which I'd like to explain here:

Many readers have been voicing their discontent with the Empire arc dragging on and on. And, personally, I have been way fed-up with it as well. I knew that the Light Novel (LN) finished it in volume 10, while the web novel (WN) drags it out until chapter 110.

As such I have been pondering about translating the LN instead of the WN. 

You guys know that I try to avoid the LNs of my series' because of possible licensing issues and rather stick to the WNs, where it's more or less a legal grey zone (or at least treated as such by the publishers). Thus I take this decision very serious.

However, there are three major points that tipped me off: 

First, if I continue with the WN, this arc will drag on for 11 more long chapters which will cause many readers to turn their backs on this novel. 

Second and more importantly, the WN ends at chapter 16x, meaning, even if I keep translating the WN, I will sooner or later run into an end that's not being continued any longer (the WN end is rather abrupt as well). Whereas the LN is on-going and even released a new volume (16) today.

Third, Volume 10 marks the point where the LN largely diverts from the WN. So if I'm going to switch over to the LN, then it has to be now or never.

After pondering it over for a few days, I decided today to switch to TLing the LN.

I will translate from the start of Volume 10 (earlier volumes are not planned since they mostly overlap with the WN), which means I will restart translating again from chapter 95 in the WN.

I hope those eagerly waiting for my translations of Hachinan tte, sore wa nai deshou! can understand my decision. 

As for those following Spearmaster and Nidoume: 

The LN for The Spearmaster and the Black Cat is behind the current translation of the WN. 

The LN of Nidoume no Jinsei wo Isekai de has been suspended, just like the WN, but I will probably switch over to the LN after volume 6 of the LN is finished in the WN. But before making the final decision here, I will check the LNs to see how much they divert from the WN as I don't think that all 18 volumes cover the full 404 chapters of the WN. :-)

Once again, sorry for all the hassle. I will release the last translated WN chapter of Hachinan on Sunday++ and meanwhile start TLing the LN for you, the patrons.
