Hey everyone, welcome to the twenty-seventh Pokémonday suggestions post!
This week, I'm gathering ideas for...
...a Pokémon with distinct gender differences!
(Like Unfezant, Pyroar, Meowstic, Indeedee, Oinkologne, et cetera.
Drop your most creative ideas below!
Maybe they could exaggerate it by having them work together in double battles, like Dondozo and Tatsugiri?

An angler fish. The female one is the only one that can evolve, requiring a fusion with the male in order to.
Either that or they’re both one evo line by default with distinct forms, and fusing with the females is just a visual/lore thing

We don't have a cardinal pokemon yet, and those certainly have very distinct sexual dimorphism.

Maybe a Succubus Pokémon? But because it’s Pride Month the male looks like a female and the female has a muscular body? I don’t know… it’s midnight for me I shouldn’t create Pokémon this late!

How about a Toad based Mon?
It all begins with a tadpole and evolves into a big female toad with brown and green colours.
Or into a male toad, which is more red and has longer legs and arms.
Could be combined with water/fight type: Females are more into sumo fighting style, while the males are using their hands and foots to smash.
Additional: When a male and a female are in the same team, the male grabs himself onto the back of the female, which raises her defense stats.

I got no better ideas, that's pretty rad.

Suggestion 1: bringing back the water type lion with water as its mane for the males and a similar water design but no full mane for females.
Suggestion 2: an alligator Pokémon where gender and type is based upon what area of the region it was hatched. Hotter regions for males, colder regions for females.

Oh, this one could be cool. Two war horses. Male is red and flamey, female is white/silver and armored. They're based on Ares and Athena. Since both are Greek gods associated with warfare and can represent a gender duality I thought it would be cool. Male is fire/fight (or fire/dark if the other one feels overused), female is fighting/steel. This could also make them super effective against each other

Black widow spiders. The female is bigger and looks like ScarJo (jk). The female has the red hourglass. Since the male gets eaten after reproduction, it should be of a weaker type. Maybe F is bug fire and M bug poison. The red hourglass could be lava/fire

This might be repetitive since it’s another object one, but you could do an Electric-type male/female cord Pokémon, since electrical connectors and extension cords’ different ends are referred to as “male” or “female” with the pronged side being the male one and the outlet side being the female one.
Maybe the nature of that naming scheme would make it a little too suggestive if you think too hard about it but I think it would make for a creative Pokémon.

How about a narwhal? Males have horns and only 15% of females also have horns. Maybe those could be a rare case like 4 member mousehold

A Dark/Flying Type Vampire Bat Pokemon where males have a masculine body while females have a more feminine body.

Maybe a Beta Fish?

A mosquito Pokémon. The female has a more aggressive personality and is more physical attack based while the male is much more mellow and is special attack based

Velociraptor pokemon. Male looks like Jurassic Park version, Female has canonical feathers, and exposure to a specific item can let them swap genders.

How about a Peacock pokemon, with the males being brightly colored and fairy/flying and the females having more subdued colors and being normal/flying?

How about a dragon pokemon that has a tiamat like female evo and a bahamut like male evo?

Okay I’m getting weird with this one. A sock Pokémon that moves like a snake with two variants based on gender. They can be based on misplaced socks trying to find their match. The boy is blue and Normal Type the girl is pink and Ghost type. It could be the weird evo that you need in each Gen because you need one of both genders in your party, and then when they both hit a certain level they automatically merge and turn into a second stage that’s Ghost/Normal type where their ends are tied together like they’re some kinda two headed snake.
