Behind the scenes - 2006 Bikini Babes
Added 2025-06-16 13:00:29 +0000 UTCLast week I was spontaneously casted for a small role in a short film called '2006 Bikini Babes', which is produced by students of the Filmakademie Wien. It was sooo much fun!
Within the movie is a scene where the protagonists (teenager girls in 2006) sit together while there's a tv-spot about a bikini contest running in the background, they then talk about the women in that spot and how much they'd like to look like them one day. In general the short film critically addresses the media back then, how often women were sexualised and unnecessarily shown halfnaked or extremely sexy - and how normal that was on popular tv shows.
I'm very happy that I am part of this now and I'm very curious to see the final movie, which is supposed to be published next year! Really looking forward to that :)
This is some behind-the-scenes material, I hope the vibe gets across - we all had a pretty good time on set that day!

hahaha I guess that's the green screen's fault - there will be a tropical pool area in the end, it won't be green anymore :D
