Please only comment with ONE hidden detail or reference!

There is ONE Loss, ONE Balthazar, ONE crewmate and ONE obscure retro character. Bonus panels don't count.

1: Instead of a hat/mask logo, the Phantom Thieves of Smash sent a card with a custom Isabelle dickbutt, as seen in the first panel. Good catch, happy pasta.
2:
Awoofy is the one who sounded the horn in the fourth panel. He is polishing his horn in the first panel and he's still holding it in the final panel. He has a job and he's good at it, Zach.
3:
There's a little sign on Hades' package that says "From Hades to Sephi <3". They're very good friends, Daniel Myhre.
4:
Patches uses British slang like mate, bloody, knickers and bruv. He also has a British accent in the games he appears in.
5:
It says "Everyone is Alive", edmg7! It's indeed covered by Sephiroth's finger in the first panel, but it's definitely a hidden detail. They're probably flexing on ruining Sephiroth's masterpiece.
6:
He's actually on the team because I like drawing him, Tejayes. But you're right, I guess he would be smart to have on the team because he bonded with Sephiroth while he was planning his evil deeds in secret.
7:
Balthazar is hiding behind Pyra in teh third panel. Guess he's a Phantom Thief now too, law_guy.
8:
Yep, Donkey Kong repeats the eye-popping face from the King K. Rool reveal trailer, Generic Hero!
9:
There's a little blue Pikmin being shocked at Sephiroth's army in the third panel, as discovered by CSDX.
10:
Among the video game villains, the biggest one of them all is showing his mug behind the Ender Dragon: Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision/Blizzard. Glad you recognized him, FoxdocDylan!
11:
The chest behind the Rabbid in the final panel looks like a regular chest, but it's indeed a Mimic from Dark Souls, Mr Funnybones. You can indeed tell by the broken chain.
12:
Yes UnSaxon51! This week's obscure retro character is indeed the Ski Free monster, visible under GladOS and to the left of Nemesis in the final panel.
13:
The wasp nest is one of the only "enemies" I consider a hidden detail, Lord Circe! It's indeed from Animal Crossing, and one of the only true antagonistic elements that game has.
14:
Another enemy I consider a hidden details if FUCKING Graham, who returned from the Animal Crossing series of comics back in early COVID days, as mentioned by A Sad Fat Dragon with No Friends.
15:
Sephiroth's army is waving a banner with the Sephiroth Dickbutt on it. Anything to fill your enemies' hearts with fright, Michael Ederer.
16:
This week's Crewmate is an actual imposter this time, so he fits right in with Sephiroth's army of video game enemies, Dempsey Garcia! He's visible right above Porky in the final panel.
17:
And this week's loss is in the white spots on the Creeper in the final panel, as pointed out by RainTheWolfie. Good eyes!
18:
Dracula can't be outside in the sun because he's a vampire, so the Skyrim giant protects him from the sun with a little umbrella. My personal favorite detail this week, Trigger!
19:
And, as is tradition, I once again stole the JoJo "To Be Continued" arrow to indicate there's a direct sequel to this comic up next week, as pointed out by Cameron Devera.

PSA: not every enemy in the army is a hidden detail

All the details that haven't been found are written in italic.

Hidden Details: Endgame Enemies

Comments

and as for pyra and mythra, their sword attack was what gave the sephiroth the chance to outsmart most of the smash fighters. so they'll likely be a key as well.

david Maldonado

Squirtle was on Thieves team because he was Sephie's lil bakery buddy, while pretending he was good so maybe it will be a key to change his heart?

Miguel Espinosa

Fifth Page DK's eyes are bugging out like in the intro to Donkey Kong Country.

fanofstuff

Thats totally an imposter, he's even got a knife. Think we need to look elsewhere for the crewmate.

PineappleApoc

Scorpions/tarantulas are infinitely worse imo.

Jon Brouse

Pyra was on the Thieves team cuz she wanted another chance to cave in Sephiroth’s skull for what he put her Rex through.

Jon Brouse

Pyra lost her Smash tights

Wesley Reed

Isabelle dickbutt on the calling card

Nunya.Byznys

Mike Tyson is flexing the same way he does before a fight in Punch-Out.

Spirit of Gotham

The chest behind the rabbid's chain is broken. A common sign for a mimic in Dark Souls :0

Mr Funnybones

Blue Pikmin at the front door is just as shocked to see Sephiroth's army.

CSDX

Probably drawn by Isabelle 1, explaining why she was in hell.

Tejayes

Hades calls Sephiroth "Sephi" on the shipping label.

Pokedude14

There are multiple retro characters in that army, but the most obscure one has to be the Yeti from SkiFree.

UnSaxon51

I know there’s a heartless in the last panel since Sora is a part of the Smash crew, but what’s with that one creature in the bottom right corner? I mean, why??? Edit: Actually now that I think about it, why didn’t Sora volunteer to be one of the phantom thieves of smash in the first place?

Shelby Kinkead

Sephiroth in the last panel poses like Marvel character Loki, who quotes, "You're savior has arrived!" - only, Sephiroth says, "Say hello to my army of video game enemies!"

Sean Chan

Is that look on Donkey Kong's face from the reveal trailers of kING K. Rool and Banjo & Kazooie?

Jake Lyde

There are video game villains, and then there is Bobby Kotick. The CEO of ActiBlizz is atop the Ender Dragon in the last panel.

Foxdoc

Graham from Animal crossing is there, wasn't he murdered? Oh wait no that was a trick... but still. He's coming after YOU, Plank! HES MOVING BACK IN

A Sad Fat Dragon with No Friends

We can see Awoofy polishing a horn in the first panel, he still has it in the last one.

Zach

I forgot that the Rabbids were originally a video game enemy from one of the Rayman games, but yeah it makes sense for one to be in the bad guy army because those lil guys are *everywhere*. BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Miz Kriss

Sephiroth would go so far to recruit a clicker how diabolical

Fighting Master

Instead of the usual "Phantom Thieves" under the logo, the calling card says "Everyone"-something. Not sure what comes after since Sephiroth's finger covers it (though I have my guesses).

edmg7

There is a Dickbutt Isabelle in the Phantom Thieves Letter

Pablo Paternina

Even if it may not count as a hidden detail, I like the idea of "a beehive" being the villain from Animal Crossing.

Lord Circe

Pokey has one Amogus as a hat

Pablo Paternina

Sephiroth has a dickbutt Sephiroth flag for his army

Michael Ederer

There's a cyan crewmate on Porky's head, right below the To Be Continued arrow.

Dempsey Garcia

Not sure if I’m reading to much into this, but sephiroth got a box from hades, and snake was trapped in hell, so could snake be in the box?

VisionPlayer22

The phantom thieves (of smash) calling card has a DickButt Isabelle on it.

happy pasta

Balthazar is in the 3rd panel behind Pythra

lawariano

Loss on the Creeper

RainTheWolfie

Dr Eggman Is There

Brayan

The face DK is making is also how he reacted to K. Rool joining Smash

Generic Hero

Squirtle is on the Thieves team because he was arguably closest to Sephiroth before he poisoned everyone.

Tejayes

The giant using a tiny umbrella to protect Dracula from the sun! Hahaha!

Trigger

Dibs on “To Be Continued” in the final panel!

Cameron Devera
