Sunday piano meditation - no. 31
Added 2024-05-26 22:15:20 +0000 UTCWe're in Ab major today again, and for some reason I always struggle a little with tonalities with four accidentals - for some reason I always want to either play three or five, also this time - I needed a couple of tries once I was kinda satisfied with what I did and without interrupting the recording at some point. Usually I record the improvisation with maximum two takes - so its really fresh, not planned, not thought through, just in the moment.
Anyways I liked the result in the end :)
Also I'm really happy about last week, the three gigs went great! Especially Friday night was just lovely, playing with and for your friends is probably the best context for a gig, I really hope we'll do something like that again soon!
Next week will be super nice too though - I'll be packing my bags and travel to Italy via Nightjet on Wednesday, hmmm, sooo looking forward to that! There will be for sure lots of stories to be told, we have quite an adventurous plan for our holidays, haha, lots of sleeping in trains, busses, ferries, maybe some hitchhiking - and last but not least, sailing with a friend and his new sailing boat! I still have to get some anti-seasickness-pills before as I have a quite sensible stomach and usually struggle a lot in the first days, but let's see... It will be wonderful still, I am looking forward to this for such a long time already! The next chapter of Fernweh is unlocked ;)
