Hoping that you just had a wonderful weekend - here comes my piano piece of the week.
I felt again like professionally recording at my Nord Stage, not just as usual simply at my upright piano - and I do enjoy this clean sound quite a lot. Also the G major (or for the very geeky musicians among you - G mixolydian half of the time) somehow fits the atmosphere of my evening. I did a lot of music in the past days, rehearsing for two upcoming gigs next week in a setup with piano, guitar and two vocals, and also playing at the Donaukanal here in Vienna yesterday night. Those evenings are fun, the vibe there is great, the people too - but afterwards I'm always quite smashed I have to admit.
Also I taught personal piano and theory classes within the last days, so all parts of my musical world were combined. I Love talking about chords, their relations and playing along songs to find out what the artists are doing there to create such beautiful sounds - and doing that with students is always a lot of fun for me. :)
I'll wish you a good night now, my eyelids are heavy (quote of 'long blue light' by Leif Vollebekk - wonderful, wonderful tune! Already looking forward to performing it again on my next gig on wednesday), sleep tight & start well rested into the new week!
