Hidden Details: Robot Reboot

Welcome to the one-hundredth-and-eighteenth episode of the Hidden Details blog!

Have you found some obscure reference or detail in this comic? A JoJo reference? A sneaky little Loss? A callback to a previous comic? Let us know what you've found in the comments! Every detail that has been found will be added to the list below. Once everything has been found, this comic will officially be marked with "all details found".

Link to the comic for your convenience

Please only comment with ONE hidden detail or reference!

There is ONE Loss, ONE Balthazar, ONE crewmate and ONE JoJo reference. Bonus panels don't count.

1: Steve is having a meaty snack in the first panel. Reference to the actual game but also to the victory screen controversy. Anyhow, nicely found Michael Ederer.
2: Loss is right in the first panel, on R.O.B.'s base. Hidden pretty well in plain sight. Right, Jonas?
2:
The painting is not an Animal Crossing reference (although it does appear in the game). It's Girl with a Pearl Earring by Vermeer, but altered to look like Peach. Like I did before with Lucas.
3:
Shulk took off his jacket to keep oil from spilling on it. He's a fashionable boy.
4:
Shulk is using some special oil called "Mechonis Oil" to fix R.O.B., as pointed out by Zach. I guess Mechon are oil specialists.
5:
Yep, I wanted to make sure everyone was able to see Simon was moving on after his breakup, happy pasta. Hence Simon in the first panel happily texting... someone.
6:
You're right Trigger, there's an Arc reactor next to Mega Man in the second panel. Little nod to the franchise I haven't done comics about in ages: the MCU.
7:
And Mega Man is indeed model number 4.20, Tejayes! Which is the funny weed number of course.
8:
And I'm glad you noticed the GameCube cable coming out of him, Noah!
9:
Bayonetta is clearly not dealing well with the breakup, as we can see in the second panel.
10:
Also, her slippers have the same decals on them as her guns have!
11:
She's also eating "Floor Ice Cream", which is a reference to Kid Icarus. Good catch, Cameron Devera.
12:
I needed something random to hang on that wall because it was very empty, so I opted for the cute fishing Kirby image from Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Glad you noticed it, Tomathius.
13:
Apparently, Dr. Light was forced to put up a sign on his laboratory telling people he's not producing "pleasure bots", as seen in the third panel. Good catch, Yannick Williams.
14:
There's yet another crewmate to be found in this week's comic. It's on Dr. Light's tie in the third panel, as pointed out by Luke.
15:
Yep, I wanted to make sure I was referencing the 1-up sprites from the NEX games so I made sure to put it on the box in the fourth panel, N-Sight.
16:
Balthazar is on the screen of one of Dr. Light's machines in the fourth panel, as noticed by Eevee Shadow Bacon. Maybe he's making a Balta-Man!
17:
One can notice Windows XP bootup screens in Mega Man's eyes as Dr. Light screws on a new head, as found by Zanreo. They should update that, it's not supported by Microsoft anymore.
18:
Hey, a JoJo reference! The Speedwagon Foundation logo is indeed visible on the screen in the fifth panel, Nunya.Byznys!
19:
Uhm... yeah, Jon Brouse is right about the unrevived fighters being ordered on fighter number, but Daniel Myhre pointed the sign out, although for the wrong reasons... So I'll just give you both a point.
20:
Haha yeah, Kazuya is totally unaffected by the gory scene, Griffin Seeley. He's a chad.
21:
I'll count it, but there's not really any reference or meaning for Sora wearing another outfit in the final panel, Shelby Kinkead.

Next week, I'll reveal all the details that haven't been found. These ones are written in italic.

And while you said there wasn’t an intended reason, I like to think that off panel Sora tried to say hello to Shulk while he was repairing R.O.B. but some oil got onto his clothes which is why he’s wearing a different outfit in the last panel

Shelby Kinkead

amogus on panel 4 on docs tie

Lightnova98

I saw an arc reactor in the second panel

Miggy

On panel 2, a section of Loss is next to each side of Mega Man's chest panel on the ground.

Innoxia

Pipi. Nuff said.

THEx

I want to add to this. I think it’s actually more based on fighter number, since King Dedede is officially the 39th fighter in the roster, counting all three of Trainers Pokémon separately.

Jon Brouse

I believe that the first panel has the fake "Girl with a Pearl Earring" from ACNH

Fruitsquish

Looks like Bayo's slippers have a similar design to her guns(2nd game design to match the current Bayo)

Chj92

The speed wagon foundation symbol is on the chalkboard in the panel where Megaman wakes up

NexTheGargoar

Sora and Samus look like they were about to throw up.

Supercharged (CEO of 9-Volt)

I just noticed that the oil bottle that Shulk uses for R.O.B. is Mechonis Oil. The Mechon people would certainly know quality oil XD.

Kelly Culham-Erickson

Apparently they have the fighters sorted by when Divine Intervention will revive them.

Pokedude14

The box of 1-Ups has the pixilated Mega Man Head sprite used in the NES games.

N-Sight

Kirby has blood on his face from his most recent kill.

John Leonard

Also, is it me or does MegaMan also run on an Arc reactor from Iron Man?

Jeffrey Solis

Megaman is running or is version 4.20. *cue "The Next Episode" by Dr. Dre feat. Snoop Dogg*

Jeffrey Solis

Speedwagon Foundation logo on the top edge of the screen behind everyone when Mega wakes up for the Jojo ref,.

Nunya.Byznys

Shulk is using Mechonis Oil to fix ROB

Zach

Alongside Rush, you can see Beat, another of Mega Man’s robot animal companions.

Zach Strand

The painting in the first panel is a reference to the artwork you can get in Animal Crossing New Horizons, right?

Conner K

Wasn't Charizard the ride Pokemon in Alola?

Lord Circe

In the second panel, MegaMan has a GameCube Controller port coming out of him. Indigo color too!

Noah

Sora is wearing his KH2 outfit in the last panel!

Shelby Kinkead

Balthazar Man, a new Robot Master hopping in to Mega Man 12.

Jon Brouse

Kirby either beheaded the baby penguin or the mama penguin from Mario 64.

CSDX

Thank you, I was clueless on where this week’s Loss was.

Jon Brouse

Simon is in the background of the first Panel looking at his phone with hearts around him. This indicates he’s moved on from Bayo even without bonus panels

happy pasta

Charizard was doing Corviknight’s job by Flying our heroes to Light’s lab.

Jon Brouse

Steve's Meat in panel 1

Michael Ederer

ROB has LOSS on his "feet"

Jonas

Balthazar's stats are on the screen in the top half of Panel 4.

Lord Circe

Everybody is disgusted in the last panel except Kazuya

Griffin Seeley

Is that Madam Butterfly's Shadow behind Bayo? Also, Balthazar on the screen behind Dr Light when he pops Megaman's head off.

Eevee Shadow Bacon

There's a picture of Kirby fishing in the second panel, a reference to how the new Kirby and the forgotten land trailer has a fishing scene in it. He's even wearing the cute little hat!

Scarlet Wood

There is a cloud around bayonetta's head

Astrodam1991

The painting in the first panel is a fake painting you can buy from Crazy Redd in Animal Crossing

A Sad Fat Dragon with No Friends

"No pleasure bots". How unfortunate. 3rd panel

Yannick Williams

MegaMan is version 4.20. Nice.

Tejayes

There's an arc reactor next to Megaman in panel 2

Trigger

Megaman apparently runs on Windows XP, as shown in his eyes when booting up

Zanreo

Bayonetta eating Floor Ice Cream on the 2nd panel.
