Hidden Details: Shine On You Brilliant Diamond

Welcome to the one-hundredth-and-twelfth episode of the Hidden Details blog (Bilbo would be proud)!

Have you found some obscure reference or detail in this comic? A JoJo reference? A sneaky little Loss? A callback to a previous comic? Let us know what you've found in the comments! Every detail that has been found will be added to the list below. Once everything has been found, this comic will officially be marked with "all details found".

Link to the comic for your convenience

Please only comment with ONE hidden detail or reference!

There ONE Loss, ONE Balthazar and ONE JoJo reference. Bonus panels don't count.

1: Yes, Sora seems to be getting the hang of being a Pokémon trainer and commands and cares for Arceus in this comic! Good catch, Lord Circe.
2:
A shot of space is great to hide stuff in. This week, I created a little "Cool S" constellation. Glad you cought it cause that means you're cool, Trigger.
3:
Jigglypuff is mad at Samus' disrespect ("Only Jigglypuff?"). And rightly so, Carrick RaccoonBro Inabnett.
4:
Shame no one got this one because it's pretty obscure. Lunatone's Sapphire dex entry states "The Pokémon's intimidating red eyes cause all those who see it to become transfixed with fear.". That's why Pichu is so afraid of Lunaton in the third panel. I guess I'll award a point for mentioning Pichu and Lunatone though, Erin.
5:
Pikachu and Samus' friendship is canon, as far as I'm concerned, because they team up in Brawl. This comic is indeed referencing that, A Sad Fat Dragon with No Friends.
6:
Yep, Zelda (and Link) provide Samus with Poké Balls to catch Xerneas/Dialga. Thanks for noticing this act of kindness, Zach.
7:
One of the Poké Balls is Wooden Plank-coloured.
8:
On the pillar in the fourth panel, there's some Balthazar/Baltabun <3 Buneary graffiti. Good eyes Luke, it's pretty tiny.
9:
I didn't know about the opening cutscene of Banjo Tooie, ChozoRidley, but you did mention Wario's garlic bag, so I'll give you a point for that.
10:
Wario, Banjo and Kazooie are indeed playing Uno in the final panel, Zanreo. And Wario only has green reverse cards, as pointed out by Daniel Myhre.
11:
There's a little Among Us crewmate floating by in the final panel, but it's hard to spot. You spotted it correctly though, Carlos Mendez.
12:
Jigglypuff drawing on sleeping (or in this case, dead) characters is indeed a reference to the anime in which she does just that, Shelby Kinkead.
13:
One of the things she drew is a little self-portrait inside Charizard's wing, with the word "CHAD" above it. She is a chad, Noah.
14:
And yes, she also drew a little Jigglypuff Dickbutt (Jiggbutt?) on Charizard's other wing. Glad you noticed this monstrosity, Lilly Jade Katrin.
15:
Not sure what Konoha is, Abdulaziz Alaryani, but if it's a Naruto thing you're correct, I think Mink made Squirtle look like Naruto in the final panel.
16:
Jigglypuff also drew a little loss on Lucario's tail. Good catch, getchell__
17:
And finally, she also wrote "B <3 M" which is a reference to an earlier comic when Incineroar wrote this on Bowser as a practical joke. Put 9-Volt in Smash Bros Please found it!
18:
I... didn't think of this, but you raise a good point, Purple_PyrOZ. Having only Jigglypuff being revived by Arceus was a random choice, but you're right, she does have the lowest base stats out of all of the dead Pokémon, so it would make sense for Arceus to only be able to revive her.

Next week, I'll reveal all the details that haven't been found. These ones are written in italic.

Hidden Details: Shine On You Brilliant Diamond

Comments

Wario, Kazooie and Banjo are playing UNO.

Erich Scheidle

Za worldo

Dylan Donsky

Jigglypuff gets visibly upset at Isabelle's comment about being the only one revived by Arceus.

Carrick RaccoonBro Inabnett

I wanna say Dialga going "Mwe" is a reference of some kind, but for the life of me I cannot find anything about what "mwe" is or means online.

CSDX

In the opening cutscene of Banjo Tooie, Banjo and Kazooie were playing cards with Bottles and Mambo before Gruntilda attacked. Them playing uno with Wario could be a reference to that. Wario's hiker backpack is also full of garlic.

ChozoRidley

why is the previous hidden details on a higher tier?

GainingGamer

On one of Charizard wings there is a Jigglypuff drawing that is similar to the Sephiroth drawing with the butt cheeks.

Average Farfa Viewer

The famous "S" graffiti can be seen shaped in the stars in the second panel, on the right.

Xenodia

Samus and Sora have their God-mons next to them in the Revived section at the end

Jon Brouse

Pikachu noticing and forcing Samus head to see Dialga

Roberto Nava

No one mentioned this, so I will Jigglypuff was the one who got revived by Arceus, due to being the pokemon with the lowest stat total out of the ones that haven't been revived yet. Therefore being the "easiest" to revive

PurpEnigma

Do you think Pikachu could defeat Dialga on his own? Cuz I think Samus took down Dialga with her bare hands and let Pikachu watch.

John Leonard

Sora is commanding and tending to Arceus, showing he is taking good care of his Starter.

Lord Circe

Pretty sure that is Balthazar and Buneary.

Lord Circe

Wario has all Reverse cards in his hand

Pokedude14

Return of the "Bowser Heart Mario" tag from when the Mario crew were first revived when Incineroar pranked them.

Supercharged (CEO of 9-Volt)

Mewtwo's head looks like Mimikyu after Jigglypuff draws on it.

xArcade

You can see Zelda giving Samus some Pokeballs, they're on her belt in the next panel, and a couple panels later she's missing a few, showing she used them to catch Dialga.

Zach

Loss on Lucario's tail on the second to last panel (last if we discount the revived fighters overview panel).

LangeManGlenn

I saw graffiti of bunneary and I am guessing bunnleby on panel four

Yukieiros

Dialga calls arceus dad since you can make a dialga with Arceus in the sinjoh ruins

John Hattan

Which is getting Pichu very nervous as it seems to be getting closer! Majora’s Mask reference perhaps?

happy pasta

Purple Imposter in the second to last panel

GhostElmo

And because someone already pointed out her marker stuff, I'm gonna mention Wario's backpack full of garlic.

Lilly Jade Katrin

Is that what that is? I was staring at it thinking it was some weird gnostic thing.

Lilly Jade Katrin

Dibs on the Jigglypuff dickbutt!

Lilly Jade Katrin

Chad Jigglypuff on the inside of Charizard's wing

Noah

Samus and pikachu are going to catch Xerneas together references their partnership in the Subspace Emissary

A Sad Fat Dragon with No Friends

Loss on Lucario’s tail on panel 6

getchell__

I'm gonna go for it. The title is a JoJo reference. In Part 4 it's crazy diamond (Shine on your crazy Diamond) but here it's brilliant.

Mark Nasuti

Squirtle

THEx

Classic Jigglypuff behavior from the anime as it draws on the Pokémon and humans that are “asleep”

Shelby Kinkead

Squirle from konoha doodle last panel

THEx

lunatone in the background of the third panel!

Erin

Samus doing the “It was I, Dio” pose

Cameron Devera

Wario, Banjo and Kazooie playing Uno

Zanreo

There's a cool "S" constellation in the second panel!

Trigger

There’s a Balthazar loves Buneary graffiti on the pillar

Luke
