Hidden Details: Souphiroth

Welcome to the one-hundredth (!) episode of the Hidden Details blog!

Have you found some obscure reference or detail in this comic? A JoJo reference? A sneaky little Loss? A callback to a previous comic? Let us know what you've found in the comments! Every detail that has been found will be added to the list below. Once everything has been found, this comic will officially be marked with "all details found".

Link to the comic for your convenience

Please only comment with ONE hidden detail or reference!

There ONE Loss, ONE Balthazar, and NO JoJo reference. Bonus panels don't count.

Well that was quick. All details have already been found!

1: I wasn't sure if the Pidgey silhouette in the first panel was recognizable, but apparently it was. Glad you recognized it, Erich Schneide.
2: Yep, this week's loss is above Wario in the second panel, in the ruined structure. Good eye, Carlos Mendez.
3: There's a hole in the tree with a chest in it in the second panel. This tree is actually in the game (as long as you have the DLC installed) and there's a Korok Mask inside the chest. Found by Iron Collie.
4: Well, it says "SEX", but you were close Pierandrea Signorazzi. It normally says EX but someone (maybe a Korok) wrote the S in front of it.
5: Speaking of Koroks, the Korok from the Richter/Rosalina comic seems to have landed here and is setting up a new place to chill in the tree behind granny. Glad you noticed him, Youmg.
6: My boy Balthazar is in the grass behind granny in the fourth panel. Thanks for finding him this week, Luke!
7: Well, "sus" is sort for "suspicious" and those characters are called crewmates, but those ruins in the fifth panel is indeed an Among Us reference, Cameron Devera.
8: Wario indeed uses Kirby as a weapon/defense, Gavin Walker. I guess Wario is aware of Kirby's power level.
9: Kirby's mask is upside down in the fifth panel. Glad you noticed Trigger. This was initially a mistake on my part, but I kind of liked it so I kept it in. If I could do it again I would flip Kirby altogether.
10: Simon is clutching his little cross. He is indeed a good Christiaan, John Hattan. (Well, except for his raunchy affair with an actual witch, but hey, no kinkshaming here)
11: There's indeed a broken Guardian in the background of the final panel, Griffin Seeley!
12: And yep CSDX, there's a Sheikah Tower too!
13: It belongs to a different Korok, but there is indeed a Korok pinwheel visible in the last panel as well, Trey.
14: You're right Erin, Wario carrying a torch is a (subtle) reference to how to navigate the Lost Woods in Breath of the Wild!
15: I'll give you a point Carrick RaccoonBro Inabnett, because the stilts do reference something. This concept art of Sheikah ladies on stilts, to be precise:

Maybe Granny is a Sheikah...?
16: And finally, yes, I totally wanted to do a Sephiroth fakeout. There's no reason for Granny to disguise herself as Sephiroth, but let's not dwell on that, hambo.

Next week, I'll reveal all the details that haven't been found. These ones are written in italic.

Comments

Oh, just read the number! Happy 100 to hidden details!

Foxdoc

W for Wario references SpongeBob? Both instances involve things being upside-down

Jon Brouse

Guardian in the background of the final panel.

Pokedude14

There’s a (hopefully dead) Guardian in the background of the final panel!😨

Griffin Seeley

You can see blue flowers in the background. There was a mission in Botw that involved these, and they are almost the only ones growing in this forest.

Cherry

Panel 5, the holes in the ruins have a shape like a Crewmate in Among Us.

Firestorm blade

One of the Sheikah Towers is in the background of the final panel.

CSDX

Kirby's heart-shaped korok mask tilts upside down when Wario holds him in the 5th panel

Trigger

The grandma looks like sephiroth

hambo

In the second panel, there's a chest that says 'Sus' in the hollowed tree.

Joseph Pirrone

Granny is wearing stilts to appear taller.

Carrick RaccoonBro Inabnett

Loss above Wario in the second panel

GhostElmo

Maybe the Korok came along with them? I saw the pinwheel in the last panel

T-Dev-CCM

the characters are carrying a torch as canonically(?) that is how to find your way through the lost woods in botw!

Erin

Wario is holding up Kirby against the mysterious figure warning "We have a Kirby", of course emphasizing Kirby's insane canonical strength, as well as how Death cowered before him in a previous comic.

Gavin Walker

Simon clutches his cross as a good Christian when he's afraid

John Hattan

This Korok is also the one from the Shrine of Resurrection that also accompanies Link in the BoTW comics

Youmg

Please do only one. Read the rules.

Cameron Devera

The Korok from the previous comic lands on a tree in panel 3 and takes a nap in panel 6

Youmg

Spearow on the first panel

GelatoVerde

On the second panel there is a chest with SBX written on it

GelatoVerde

Pidgey in Panel 1.

Erich Scheidle

There's a chest hidden in the tree between Simon and Kirby in the second panel.

Iron Collie

Sus from Among Us on the 5th Panel!

Cameron Devera

I was just about to comment that!

Shelby Kinkead

Balthazar is hidden in the grass in the fourth panel

Luke
