Hidden Details: Happy 30th Birthday Everyone

Welcome to the seventy-eigth episode of the Hidden Details blog!

Have you found some obscure reference or detail in this comic? A JoJo reference? A sneaky little Loss? A callback to a previous comic? Let us know what you've found in the comments! Every detail that has been found will be added to the list below. Once everything has been found, this comic will officially be marked with "all details found".

Please only comment with ONE hidden detail or reference!

There NO Loss, ONE Balthazar, and NO JoJo reference. Bonus panels don't count.

1: Thanks, John Hattan. :) And yeah, Balthazar is there in the bottom left corner. With a party hat.
2:
The Lemmings do indeed appear as they did in their original game; from a magic trap door in the air. Nice to know you know your classics, CrazySeanDX.
3:
Well... I mean, Link's hair was pink in a Link to the Past due to the limited colour palette of the SNES, right? I don't think it's misread, it's just a limitation of the technology at the time. But yeah, it's definitely a reference, Daniel Myhre.
4:
What IS misread though, is Agahnim's sprite. And I have a hard time seeing him as he's supposed to be seen, so I thought it'd be cute to draw the misread version. Found by Zach.
5:
And yes, Put 9-Volt In Smash Bros Please, there's a whole bunch of picture frames in the background with games that turn 30 this year. Some of those games are represented by characters at the table, some aren't.
6:
Haha yeah, Terry's cap reads Boomer Fury, Very Large Mandarin Slice. Let's be honest, he is a boomer now. Just like me.
7:
Yoshi and Captain Falcon did indeed make their first appearance in 1990 but I wanted to include them so I cheated and used their North American releases, Zanreo.
8:
Queen Metroid is visible in the background and she has a little party had and a party blower. Glad you noticed, Trigger.
9:
Haha yes Luke, I am indeed wearing a Wooden Plank shirt. Mostly because I was afraid people wouldn't know who I was, haha.
10: Yeah, I had to give Baby Metroid a pacifier to make clear I was talking about Metroid II, Jonathan Stein, otherwise people would have been like "uhm akshually Metroid came out in 1986..."
11: The reason the Lemmings are walking to the left is indeed because there's a single "stop, turn around" Lemming at the right side of the table, Tejayes!
12: And last but not least: everyone is wearing little tags with their "birth date". And I just didn't to enough research Marwan Abunura. I saw Street Fighter II released in 1990 and I didn't know that Cammy was added later. Never played Street Fighter.

After one week, I'll reveal all the details that haven't been found. These ones are written in italic.

Comments

There's a "stop, turn around" lemming near Zangief and Abel. Also, why is Cammy there? She wasn't introduced until Super Street Fighter II: The New Warriors in 1993.

Tejayes

The baby Metroid has a pacifier because it's a 30-year old baby!

Jonathan Stein

The Lemmings are popping in through a door from up top, which I think is how they appear in the video game.

CSDX

Link has pink hair as many people mis-interpret his sprite's hat as his hair.

Pokedude14

Agahnim is drawn as a well known misinterpretation of his sprite from ALttP.

Zach

The words in Terry’s hat say “boomer fury” due to the fact that he’s 30 years old now

The games posted on the back of the wall are all turning 30 this year as well.

Supercharged (CEO of 9-Volt)

M. Bison asks if Captain Falcon and Yoshi are 31 because their first games were released 1990 in Japan

Zanreo

Almost everyone are wearing tags that state the date of birth/release in North America

kirbystarwarrior

Abel is wearing a Wooden Plank Studios T-shirt from your store!

Luke

Balthazar in bottom left corner of the first panel. Also, happy birthday!

John Hattan

Queen Metroid in the background, with a party blower and a hat! Hahaha!

Trigger
