There is NO JoJo reference, ONE Loss and ONE Balthazar. Bonus panels are not counted.
1: Good catch Zanreo. The sparkles in the first panel indeed form loss.jpg.
2: Yep, there are a bunch of Frosmoths flying around in the second panel, just like in the game, Daniel Myhre.
3: In the animated panel, all the Pokémon use mounts based on their typing (Zoroark - Hydreigon, Dad Zoroark - Houndoom, Mom Zoroark - Scraggy, Toxel - Venusaur, Grookey - Virizion). Glad you noticed, John Hattan.
4: The "Death"-scream is a reference to King Theoden in The Lord of the Rings. Very disappointed no one mentioned this one, hahaha.
5: The trainer is riding a Rotom Segway. Found by Zach.
6: Balthazar and Leentje are visible in the background of the animated panel. Found by Marwan Abunura and Luke.
7: And yes, the Galarian Legendary Birds are visible in the same background as well. Good eye, Toon Draw.
8: The big Tree from the DLC is visible in the background as well. I forgot the name of it.
9: And yes, I am indeed still rocking the manbun, Screen Name.
After one week, I'll reveal all the details that haven't been found. These ones are written in italic.

If this counts as a duplicate, I'm sorry, but Toxel's mount is specifically a Poison type so that they don't get easily poisoned like literally every other Pokemon has been just by being near them. I initially felt Salazzle would be a better fit, but then I remembered that Salazzle might poison Toxel with its ability, so best to not have it go both ways like that.
