Added 2024-10-26 19:29:43 +0000 UTCAnother of Livia's patrons and a frequent guest of the Villa Clodia was a very well placed woman in Roman society and highly unusual in that while most of roman high society had nicknames Clodia bore two , the first being Quantrantaria ("Quarter" from quadrantarius , the price of a visit to the public baths a place she could be frequently found in the company of groups of both men and women ) and her second Nola ("The Unwilling" , from the verb Nolo , in sarcastic reference to her alleged wantonness) altho Livia had inside information that Clodia employed two body slaves whos sole job was suckling at her breasts insuring they remained full and engorged after her husbands weakness for them when she was with child this insured his turning a blind eye to her many dalliances
