While drawing, I think a lot about the overall impression. A drawing that looked fine in the rough sketch stage often looks quite awkward when I start inking, mostly because the thin lines of the ink tend to weaken the impression. In such cases, you can regain the lost impression by adding color for contrast, adding elements, or continuing detailed rendering through the final stages. So don't give up, believe in yourself, and keep drawing! You can directly see the difference in impression between the rough sketch and the inked version in the attached files :)
