Do you have any beverages that you have with thanksgiving every year? The pairing is important for a large meal and no one talks about it. My family has had Baumeister Root Beer (for the kids) and various bottles of Scotch to try for the adults. These are probably more important elements to the meal and even more important then a turkey in my book. (Scotch helps with family gatherings).

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving dish that you hated when you were a kid? Anything you used to love and can’t stand now? Examples: I refused to eat giblet gravy or stuffing when I was kid, now I love it. I once had some oyster stuffing that was killer too, no way I would’ve gone near that as a boy. As for former love- I cannot stand candied yams anymore, but it was probably my favorite as a kid, aside from pie.

Does anyone have day-after-Thanksgiving traditions? I tend to be solo the day after and enjoy the time after a very person-filled day. I wake up, get baked, head to a local breakfast buffet - probably wolfing down 2,000 calories before 9am, because Thanksgiving has set the standard that my body expects. Tool around a bit to watch the hustle and bustle of Black Friday shoppers. Head back home for another gluttonous meal. Get baked again. Then get together with friends to watch movie or play some party video games. Capped off with more Cannabis and +2K calorie meal before calling it a night.

Instead, I always like to make some different themed meal, whether it's a variety of pizzas, or Mexican, Mediterranean, etc. Inevitably, some people will bristle at this suggestion, but I think it's always more fun and appetizing.
