Also... kids meal toys. In my opinion the best fast food chain toys ever made were the Simpsons Treehouse of Terror toys at Burger King. Combining my love of Simpsons! I recall buying several kids meals JUST for the toys trying to collect them all, and they even made more toys for the following Halloween. What kids meal toys do you remember thinking were super cool?

Thought of another question... When thinking about my favorite fast food chain movie promotions I distinctly recall McDonalds' Dick Tracy scratchers where you would get a scratcher ticket with the villains from the movie and you would try to win free food. I loved this promotion as a kid. Other promotions would have merchandise like the Batman Forever glass mugs I still have in regular use to this day. What movie tie-ins do you remember fondly from yesteryear?

I'm a big proponent of combining bites of various elements of a meal into a single mouthful. IE - a few fries and a bite of a burger together, or mashed potatoes and steak in one bite. In your opinion Is this enhancing the meal as a whole? Or lessening the enjoyment of each individual component?

Hi Doughboys, Several years back I worked for the McDonald’s National Customer Service Hotline. I was as terrible as you could imagine it. (4 people that I started with quit before the end of the first day). Anyway, the most common complaint we got was that their food was cold, which strikes me as such a small thing to take the time out of your day to call someone about. In my area of Japan, the only chain from the States is Dominos and you can get the following crust: hand-tossed, pan pizza, ultra thin, cheese 'n' roll, mille-feuille and triple mille-feuille. Howdy fellas! I manage an animal sanctuary and have taken to naming some of the animals, like Lil' Spoonm'n the duck, who's now about 2 months old and livin' large. He's the biggest of his brothers and sisters and loves corn, and floating in the senior pig wallow. Anyway, I was thinking of naming the manure pile "Mt. I moved from Southern California to Portland, Oregon a decade ago and there's three specific things I miss: Disneyland, Amoeba Records and Carne Asada Fries - fries slathered (not unlike nachos) in guacamole, sour cream, beans, cheese and hot sauce. This dish unfortunately seems to be strictly a Southern California tradition and any time I come across it in the Pacific Northwest, it just doesn't compare. What's a dish, or restaurant, regional to your hometown that you're not a fan of? Something that's pretty renowned? Ex: I spent my childhood in AL, and cannot stand the white BBQ sauce they're known for. General Southeast dish (in ATL now) would be biscuits and gravy. The pain after is never worth it. A few years ago I moved from Boston to Sunny San Diego. One treat I really miss is the Ricotta pies from local Italian bakeries back home. I like eating Pho, and have gotten in the habit of planning when in the eating sequence to add specific ingredients. I usually start with lemon, sriracha, and Jalapeños, and then halfway through the bowl I squirt in some hoisin to change up the flavor. Example, here in St Louis we have a smoked BBQ joint called Sugarfire Smokehouse that has sprung from one location to 8, but still within a couple hour radius of the main location. What is your opinion on Guy Fieri? He seems to be getting alot of hate recently, but personally I find him to be kinda fun and wacky. All he is doing is highlighting the tasty, yet caloric, food we as Americans eat all the time. It seems weird that society has joined together to shame this guy, and all he does is get excited about food that tastes great but is terrible for you. Lo and behold to my surprise, I see that some enterprising young Cornellians actually reopened it AND it's in the heart of collegetown (lucky bastards). Hello Doughboys and Yusong, Trying to stay healthy and diet while doing this show must be super tough, and I think it is lame that people give you pushback for getting a salad or other healthy item at a restaurant. Have either of you given thought about trying intermittent fasting? That way, you're simply changing the schedule you eat in vs. changing the foods you eat.

Are there any restaurant branded frozen food items that you guys think deliver on the actual "in restaurant" dish? For example, CPK's BBQ Chicken Pizza frozen pizza doesn't come close to delivering on the real thing. I think the closest are the White Castle Cheeseburgers. Hey Doughboys, big fan! I'm a listener from Northern Ireland, and our fast food options over here are really limited/shitty (pretty much just Burger King, KFC and McDonalds.) If we were to be in a fast food cultural exchange programme, which restaurant would you send over from America? I would send you guys a Mexican chain called Boojum where you can build your own burritos, tacos and bowls. Hey 'boys, I went to a Thai place in NYC when I was but a wee lad. My parents insisted it was authentic, and so I believed them, but looking back now I am less convinced. Anyway when we went, we ordered our food and sat down, and on the many TV screens peppering the wall every channel was playing either the Food Network or some stock footage of someone cooking. I thought this was weird at the time, but I have since been told that those little clips were a secret little trick, "priming" you to eat and enjoy your food more! I thought that was a really cool little brain hack, and I was wondering if you knew of any other little "restaurant tricks" like that?
