Notice about POTM polls and voter fraud 🎉

This is not a post I ever imagined having to make nor like having to make, but a necessary one regardless it seems.

It's come to my attention that sometimes, people have been using alternate accounts to pledge to the cheapest tier just so they can try alter the poll winner at the last minute. If I catch this happening, they will be blocked and refunded. Unfortunately blocking these accounts does not appear to remove the false votes from the polls, but It should be noted I learned that patreon's tools allow me to download a .csv file of poll results to see which specific accounts voted what, and if needed I will personally strike false votes from the record to make the final result.

Looking back, there was an incident in which this almost happened when I noticed some suspicious activity, but fortunately did not pan out in their favour for their intended poll winner; and some pledgers from earlier this year might be able to connect the dots to messages I sent out at the time regarding the concern. So let that be some closure in some regard.

These polls aren't for just one person to get what they want, they're for all the people who are kind enough to support me. They deserve honest rewards for what they paid for, and they deserve their fair votes to lead to what they voted for. Don't be an ass and spoil it for others okay?
