Hi folks! A couple of clarifications: 1) Some people seem worried that this is going to detract from me putting out music content. It's fair to say that this first episode took a fair bit of work; the song, the editing, the end-screen, figuring RSS feeds etc. But that's mostly work in the bag now, and future episodes will be much less effort to put together. The other thing is that one of the biggest time-sucks for A Capella Science is actually me gathering information and gaining an understanding of the subject I'm covering. I'm obsessive enough about accuracy that often that's half the total time spent on a project. This actually feels like a solution to that problem. It's quite possible that these conversations will speed up my process, or at least alert me to much more interesting topics for videos. I've been feeling fairly cut off from the science world, to be honest. 2) I'm going to be cutting these interviews into smaller digestible chunks and uploading them as well. I wasn't sure if I would, but enough people seem to be commenting that they don't have time for a hour+ interview that it makes sense. But also, you should know that the podcast is on iTunes, TuneIn, Google Play and a few other podcast apps. So if you're driving or cleaning and you feel like learning instead of daydreaming or getting mad at passing cars, I offer myself as an option! As I said in the video, A Capella Science is here to stay. Thanks so much for supporting me; I'm going to keep trying to improve and grow over the next year. Cheers, -Tim
