The Vampire Queen - How I Became The Worlds Last Boss: Chapter 5

Celestia

“Just be honest with yourself, Rhea. How would you feel right now if I kissed you on the cheek? I know I’m a very sexy girl,” I said with a giggle. "But at the same time, you’re so fucking cute, and I just want to make you mine.”

“I would really hate that.” Rhea blurts it out.

What would she hate? Her statement made me feel a pain in my chest, and I felt like I might cry at any moment. Giving your feelings so openly to someone is extremely draining and freeing at the same time. You just hope so much that they can actually accept you. I asked out a girl in my past life who had given me a lot of attention, and I even lost a lot of weight for her. But that ended up in utter failure, as her attention was just a means to an end and had nothing to do with her liking me.

“What would you hate?” I ask, having a little nervousness in my voice.

“The idea of you treating someone else with as much care and attention as you’re showing me.”

“How does it feel to say that?” I said it with a smirk. My body is completely relaxed now that I've received the desired response.

“I’m having an extremely hard time keeping my emotions in check right now. I’ve never had anyone be so open with their feelings and direct them towards me in a way that wasn't filled with hatred. That is, of course, unless someone is trying to break me down the way my family does.” Rhea hugs my body tighter.

“I understand completely. It might seem like I have it all together, but my emotions have been in turmoil throughout this whole conversation. Giving your heart to someone you've just met seems pretty crazy, but I also couldn’t help myself. Experiences made me realize that when you have an opportunity, just take your shot; it's better than never having taken the shot in the first place. Regret is something I never want to deal with again.”

“That’s surprising; you seem so confident.”” Rhea said it with a shocked face.

“It might seem that way, but when you just said I would really hate that, my first thought was that she hates the idea of being with me.”

I saw a look of worry instantly appear on Rhea’s face. “I was just thinking about someone other than me currently in your embrace, and I absolutely hated that. I really appreciate how forward you have been with me, and honestly, I have never felt so good in all my lives. Liking a girl, possibly loving a girl, is something I think I really could do.” Rhea said it with a smile.

“Of course, we can start slow and just gradually grow into something. We’re still young, and we have a long life ahead of us. But something I would like to make mandatory is for you to please be my hug pillow at night. It’s non-negotiable.” I said with a light chuckle as I looked into Rhea’s cute expression.

Rhea gave off a very amazing giggle that just stole my heart. "Sure, I don’t mind, but what about the housing arrangements?”

“Who cares what they tell us? Either I sleep in your room, or you sleep in mine. Even if we end up with some random roommate, I couldn’t care less if they talked crap about our close relationship, with both of us being girls. You did see my power score, right?”

“Yes, you’re incredibly strong.” Rhea said with another giggle.

“That’s right, so don’t worry about any of your family or anyone for that matter, because I will crush anyone who messes with you.” I saw Rhea make a bright smile. “There is one thing I feel I should tell you before we go any further.”

Rhea perks up, as I had a bit of a serious tone with my last statement, “What is it?” She asks nervously.

“This is only speculation on my part, but I might be the one the headmaster was talking about in the oracle. If that possibility scares you, maybe we shouldn’t be so close.” I said it with the fear of rejection written all over my face. “Yesterday, when the oracle made the prediction, I had a massive awakening, and my power skyrocketed. So there is a pretty good chance I could be the next enemy of the world, or it was just a crazy coincidence.” I said it with a shrug, trying to downplay it.

The fact that I’m telling her this is really stupid and could possibly destroy my current life as I know it. Being able to spend a little time here and learn as much as I can before leaving would be very beneficial. Staying here for all six years is just impossible with the likelihood of being found out very real with my overwhelming power number. My feelings for this girl are also very real, and I want her to know what she might be getting into.

“If even after hearing that you still choose to stay with me, I will be very happy, but I’m also going to have to turn you.” I said it with a solemn look. There are a few reasons why I want to turn her, and the most obvious one is that I want her to be linked to me for life. But, also, if she mixes in with what could be the demon army in the future, I don’t want her to remain a human.

“When you say turn me, what do you mean?” She said it with question marks written all over her face.

“I’m not human, and my race is called vampire. Are you familiar with it?” Rhea shook her head from side to side. “Well, we have extremely strong bodies and powerful magic. I’m also immortal and will practically live forever, unless someone finds a way to kill me. But my understanding of vampires is from another time, and I’m not one hundred percent sure they work that way. I have a strong intuition that it’s correct.”

“Hmm... a vampire. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of one before.” Rhea says, with her eyes wide, at the realization of who is currently in front of her.

“Yes, I understand if you would rather keep your distance. I just want to let you know what you’re getting yourself into because it’s highly likely I’m the person in the oracle. I will turn you into a vampire if you choose to stay with me. There are many reasons, but the most obvious one is that I will live a very long time, and I don’t want you to die so early.” I look down at Rhea, who is currently holding onto my hand and tracing the outline with her finger.

“I’ll do it,” Rhea said resolutely.

“Are you one hundred percent sure?” I asked with surprise at her quick and stern response.

“Yes, honestly, the thought of not getting to have these kinds of moments with you is not something I’m willing to accept. I also understand what this means, and I guess our only option is to just win. If what you’re saying about my body becoming immortal is true, that sounds like an amazing blessing. I’m very sick of experiencing death.”

“I can’t tell you how happy that made me.” I beam with a bright smile as I kiss her on the cheek. “Then, tonight, I will turn you. Let’s get going and find out where our housing arrangement is located." Rhea turns really bashful at my sudden kiss and reaches for the hand I was offering.

“By the way, Rhea I haven’t even told you my name.” I said it with a chuckle. This whole time, I've also been using her name without her even introducing herself. I'm surprised she hasn't pointed that out.

“I remember your name, Celestia Voltaire.” She smiles. “When I saw you walk up on stage, I couldn’t help but think, What a beautiful girl! But at that time, I had no idea just how close my relationship would become in such a short amount of time.”

“That’s for sure; fate is an interesting thing.” I, for one, really love what fate has brought me in this new life.

Snap

Ahh

Crush

With some weird sounds, Rhea and I walk over to the direction we heard them coming from. What we found were two males covered in blood, with their necks snapped and their heads crushed.

“That’s a pretty gruesome scene. So close to where we were just talking. I wonder if they heard what was said between us. But I guess it doesn’t really matter now, since whoever killed them indirectly did us a favor.” I said as I looked over at Rhea, who was holding my hand tightly, probably not used to seeing such a graphic scene. I’m also not used to this type of stuff, but at the same time, I don’t really feel much looking at it. My only guess is that my vampire nature has dulled my senses to violence.

“Let’s go, Rhea; there is no reason to stick around when we have nothing to do with this.” Rhea nodded as we both made our way to find out our current housing arrangement.

Random POV

Hiding in a bush, a fox watches on as her soon-to-be master almost makes a terrible mistake. This fox is one of the five spirit beasts of the world, also known as the five terrors of the demon lord. Her name is Hieko, and she has been waiting for a thousand years before another master would finally appear. A few days ago, Hieko and the other terrors were all alerted to the awakening of a new master.

All five fought for the right to bring back the master to her throne. In a hard-fought battle, Hieko reigned supreme over the others. Once she finally happens upon her master in a wooded area near a school, there are two nuisances trying to disturb her.

Having lived for a very long time, she could sense the pink atmosphere around her master and the girl. Hieko thought it would be a bad time to interact with her and would wait a bit longer. But what she couldn’t accept was the two men eavesdropping on their conversation. She slowly sneaks up on the two to see what business they had spying on the girls.

“Did you hear that, Bret?”

“Yes, I did, Logan.”

“That Celestia girl just admitted to being the one from the oracle. She’s literally the enemy of all mankind.”

“We’re going to be famous for being the ones to actually catch the new demon queen.”

“Since she doesn’t seem to be paying attention to her surroundings, let’s sneak up and capture them. We could use the pink hair one as a toy while we turn in the other.”

“That’s an amazing plan, Bret; let’s do it.”

Hieko couldn’t help but sigh at these two morons. To think they would actually succeed in capturing someone as strong as her master would be impossible. Also, to lust after her mate is an even bigger sin that she couldn’t accept. What makes her master happy also brings her joy.

She slowly moves up behind the two, who were hiding in wait to ambush. Hieko wastes no time sprinting and clawing both their throats, killing them instantly. For good measure, she steps hard on each of their skulls just to really drive it home, even though no one but her knew what actually happened.

Now that the trash has been taken out, let’s go follow Master to keep an eye on her well-being. Catching up to the two, she saw both of them holding hands and smiling at each other as they waited to look at a giant bulletin board. She remembers hearing her master talk about finding a room to stay together in during the night.

A lot of people were giving disgusting glances towards the master and her mate. It was really rubbing Hieko the wrong way. The feeling of wanting to destroy this whole school and take the master away from here has come into her mind more than once. After they seemed to have come to some kind of decision, they went into a very tall building. That must be where they will be staying.

Master talked about wanting to turn her mate tonight. Every master has a very distinct magic signature, and that’s what Hieko is able to follow to find her. Climbing up the wall to where she can feel that presence, which is called destruction magic. When Hieko got to the balcony where the two girls were staying, she started pawing at the window.
