Hey! Sorry for not having update for a little (I think it's only been a little over a week, but you know what I mean!)

So apparently some bootleg site got started up that is reposting the art from a lot of Patreon accounts (mostly furry artists). A number of artist friends and I have had their content reposted and it's certainly discouraging.

It's tough to deal with a fandom where art is so integral yet the artists are still so thoroughly disregarded. The sense of entitlement a lot of this fandom has toward art can be difficult. They expect the work that artists spend many many hours of

work upon to be provided to them for free. When artists offer to take commissions, you get people just saying they wish they had money for it or even just asking for free art. They'll be quick to cry out that the artist may be 'charging too much' for their work, even if it may be fair price, leading artists to undercharge themselves and other artists doing the same just to keep their prices competitive.

Yet then when artists have an outlet for people to actually support them to produce a little extra content of their own, people to call it out and refuse to support it. Or even just flat out say it isn't even art if it was paid for (obviously the history of art would beg to differ on that point).

Art is very much a career just as any other is. It's because of people like this that it is still sold short, or that people say that it's "not a real job". While I've yet to pick it up full time, doing art professionally is very difficult to sustain and that mentality is arguably the core reason to that.

That aside; I do very much appreciate those of you who are willing to help and support artists such as myself. :) It really does mean a lot to me and many others as well.

And to those reading this who may not be supporting, naturally I'd hope you'd reconsider, but more importantly I'd like for you to understand. And if you really do care, at least try and give back if you can. Spread the word, tell your friends, add a proper tag to a post on tumblr or twitter. It all matters.
