Goooood progress + Apple phone app pay changes!

Before we get to the progress, I need to adress some things for those using an apple phone to follow the progress. iOS - Apple iPhones are a closed environment. Meaning unlike android, apple has full control on what kind of apps run there and not. That is the reason none of my games are available for the iPhone, unfortunetly (there are some phone jailbreak mechanics but i won't go into that).

It seems like Apple takes things a step further now: charging Applications like Patreon and others a 30% fee. This change will start on November 1st, 2024, basically meaning your memberships will cost 30% more if you use Patreon through the iOS app! I haven't read up on this entirely, but I think Apple does this for other apps as well, seeing how much money they can squeeze out of their market dominance! If I read this correctly, purchases made before November 1 are not affected by this, so this only affects you if use Patreon through the app, stop supporting me or other creators and then come back after November the first (pretty obvious that the best solution is to support me forever :D).

Long story short, if you use the Patreon App through the iPhone, stop it and use Patreon through the phone browser instead. That is what I would do right now if you use an iPhone. I don't know how much backlash there is, but right now I really expect this to happen on November 1!

Ok, shut up about apple, what about the progress?

I finally bit in the sour apple as we germans say and rendered the full club crowded in the heat of the summer.

Results are good, light is pretty awesome. For the inside of the club I cheated a bit, making the dancers as shadows with some glowing eyes (was just too much rendertime and tbh it looks much better with them as moving shadows). The dancing animation for them looks a bit clunky, but overall I really like it! For me, it is awesome :)

I am right now at the last scene happening on the dancefloor, I still have to redo the lounge area and I have to do one scene in the fun area, so still a lot of stuff to do...but it is looking good and I am having a lot of fun with the location, even if the renders are coming along slow.

Yes, that is it for today's update! Approaching the end of the renders for day 4 step by step!

Please read up on the iPhone app charging thing if you're a diehard apple phone user. I haven't spend much time looking into it myself since I never had an apple phone but it sounds pretty bad and might affect other apps that you are using as well.
